A confrontation at a Sierra Vista movie theater Friday evening led to some frightening moments for patrons, authorities said.
The incident occurred at 5:10 p.m. at the Cinemark Theater at The Mall at Sierra Vista when a man entered the theater carrying a large backpack.
The man, identified as Michael William Borboa, 26, appeared drunk and was acting strangely during a showing of The Dark Knight Rises, startling other patrons, according to the Cochise County Sheriffs Department.
... The confrontation caused mass hysteria as the people fled the theater, according to sheriffs department spokeswoman Carol Capas, who posted information about the incident on the departments Facebook page.

(5,420 posts)what exactly did he do? I went to the site, but must have missed part of it. I saw where the customers attacked him but I didn't see what he actually did besides having a backpack and being drunk. Did they go into more detail on his actions further elsewhere?
It lead me to think that maybe the customers over reacted, as he was only carrying alcohol. Did he threaten them or make insinuations that he had guns or bombs?
