Another episode of "As the Stomach Turns"
1. Cohost Sara Haines said When Trump presents misfactoids ...
I had to google that and, while not finding misfactoids, I found misfact:
a poor hypothesis based on absent, inadequate, dodgy or completely misused evidence and subsequently touted as a truth.
So remember, when Trump lies, its a misfactoid.
I don't know why Sara Haines didn't just use "lie".
2. Cohost Meghan McCain was very angry (almost tearful) at her cohosts because they do not respect President Trump.
She said she comes on the show every day, trying to present Trumps (and his supporters) position on the issues,
and every day she is confronted by her cohosts disrespecting the President.
McCain said she feels she is a failure at her job of explaining the conservative side of the issues.
(I kept hoping shed get up and walk out)
Whoopie assured Meghan she was doing a great job.
I don't think Joy gave a crap, as she's always calling Trump a liar.

(26,289 posts)And that's the exact vibe I get from her. A while back, she was coming across as almost something close to liberal. Now she's married to someone she calls 'the most conservative man in the country' so she's trying to push that agenda.
She's seen that show. She should know how the co-hosts fall into the political spectrum. I'm thinking she's now falling into the 'professional victim' category.
BTW, I am going to call this, now. When John McCain does have to retire from the Senate, I predict his new son-in-law will be the proposed replacement. I'm not saying that's why he married into the family, but........

(3,569 posts)She WAS NOT defending TRump. What she is having a problem with is he always gets in the way of her "message". Of course, she, like the Reps in toto, have no message, but now she feels she is being tied to TRump. I pity her. I liked the other woman, Jedediah Bela, who spoke freely. McCain cant. Or doesn't. She is hedging her bets with an eye turned toward a political future.
She's had a bad couple of days on the show.

(7,021 posts)despise republicans who try to screw them every chance they get. Ask your dad why he would vote for a tax bill that has dismal public support and will explode the deficit and likely destroy SS and Medicare. If he can explain it to you have him come on your show and explain it to me. Then go cry on his shoulder.

(10,611 posts)WHAT position?
He lies with every statement.
His agenda is to disturb shit, spread racism and xenophobia, and scam ignorant believers out of their $$.
If he has a defensible position, she should be able to verbally articulate it.
But he doesn't. Hence her problem.
And respect? Is EARNED. She needs to read his tweets and explain why he commands any respect with that spew.

(10,952 posts)would have given her the job or the other women would have put up with her BS. I have not been able to stand the show since they added her.
She is such a crybaby snowflake. The fact is that Trump lies all the time. The fact is that respect is earned not automatically granted. Trump has done nothing to earn anyone's respect. The fact is that Trump is not competent to sit in the oval office. The fact is that the Republicans in Congress (including her father) are enabling this clown just so that they can get their atrocious tax breaks through. I would love to look her in the eye and tell her how despicable her father are and he along with all the Republicans are single handedly responsible for the destruction of this country. She had better get used to what people are going to say about her precious party because it is not going to change.

(82,849 posts)But you know something, Meghan? Millions of Americans go to shitty jobs every day, and they don't make a tenth of what you make to try covering the lies of this administration. Millions of Americans don't have a choice. You do. So spare me your anger and your tears. You can quit tomorrow and not have a care in the world about where your next meal is coming from or how you're going to make rent. If this is your biggest worry, there's about 300 million Americans who would swap situations with you.
