Why it's so difficult for Trump voters to backtrack:

I really think I've got it figured out.
Imagine for a moment that Trump was merely in the mediocre to bad range ... for argument's sake, let's say James Buchanan-like. In that instance it would be possible for a voter to say, "Damn, that wasn't the wisest vote I ever cast."
However, such is not the case.
Because Trump is so cataclysmically, incomprehensibly, racist, misogynistic, thin-skinned, pig-ignorant, and generally fucked-in-the-head, that there can be no excuse for voting for him!
Therefore, those poor benighted fools have to pretend that he is not, by any reasonable metric, the worst President in American history. That way they are not forced to confront their own stupidity and culpability.
Just a thought.

3. You might be right with respect to at least some of them.

People hate admitting they made a mistake - that's just human nature. And if you've made a huge, really dumb mistake that defies explanation, if you finally admit the mistake how are you going to justify it? You'll look like a total moron. So you're better off just digging in your heels and pretending you knew what you were doing all along.

It's like when my cat gets so absorbed in licking his junk that he falls off the back of the couch, and then he sits up and licks his shoulder and glares at me, like, "I meant to do that."

Many other Trumpites, however, look at Trump's most dreadful qualities as features and not bugs. They like it that he's mean and belligerent and racist, because he expresses the darkest impulses of their own ids. So fuck them.

It's like talking about the most embarrassing in your life, which in my particular case, never happened.

I'm serious! You can go to Similar Worlds and interact with them. They are seriously that stupid. They may know how to swindle people out of their money, but they are stupid. I wanted to talk with them, I call them trumproaches now, I wanted to find similarities and I did with Classic Rock music, but other than that...you bang your head against a wall trying to teach them anything.

And they are liars as well. They took to the anonymous vibe of the internet like a fish to water.

... signs of Red Don being a villan.

ONE of the excuses is "... we thought he would pivot ... " because the dumb ass'd privileged media gave them that excuse as if non-whites lgbt & females can afford to take that chance.

10. Trump's rise did not occur in a vaccuum....

1) there were lots of fed up folks wanting to tear down the system
2) lots of racists, misogynists.....yada

But Trump could not have succeeded without having an "enemy" to serve as a foil....that "enemy" was the media....and that "enemy" was Hillary Clinton.

When Trumpers got in debates about Trump's wild ideas, they always came back with.....Hillary/Obama/the libtard media
