"It was the first thing I did"

Zara Rahim? @zara915 15h15 hours ago

Just left Orlando. The man who checked me in to my hotel was a teacher from Puerto Rico and moved there a month ago because he lost everything in Maria.

I said I hope he re-registered to vote, he replied with a smile, “it was the first thing I did”

It was a mistake for the GOP to write them off as unimportant.

There will be repercussions.

Probably the one which denied them the help they need. Also, the one which keeps them from full citizenship.

With Katrina the GOP (aka Cheney) probably saw that as a good thing since there wouldn't be enough votes to influence Texas elections, but removing a large percentage of the poorest people in New Orleans would effectively flip Louisiana.
Trump doesn't realize, and probably doesn't really care, that his unbelievably callous attitude towards Puerto Rico is going to likely add enough former residents to the Florida voter lists to change the state.
While I hope that 1) he can't run for re-election since he is in prison or 2) that he runs and loses all 50 states -- it would be sweet if he lost by Florida flipping and even FOX news blamed it on the Hispanic vote there.

changed. If drumpf turns FL blue through his total hate, racism, greed and incompetence - it will be just a part of his karma.

...but don't go too far out of the area. You might meet another kind of southerner and they're not nice neighbors.
