I firmly believe that. Yes, there are "bad" Democrats but we WILL weed them out. With the "help" of the Republicans and the corporate media, we will, you can believe that. We are morally superior to Republicans, you can bank on that. THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP DOES NOT GIVE A RAT'S ASS ABOUT ANYONE BESIDES THE WEALTHY. Yes, there are third parties but our best hope lies with the Democratic Party.

Do we need posts on DU bashing good Dems like Franken (who has handled his whole ordeal with grace and honesty and sensitivity) ? Hell no, in my opinion. We need to support our good Dems against the inevitable onslaught from the Republicans and the profit-oriented corporate media.

Do I believe in supporting Democrats who exhibit bad behavior ? No, but there is PROPORTIONALITY. Franken is a freaking saint compared to Trump. If a Democrat crosses the line into truly poor behavior, then yes, he or she needs to go, but there is no freaking way Franken has done this.

I know there will be some, sincerely or trollishly, who will accuse me of being a "rah rah" for the Democrats, but I don't freaking care. I've been a Democrat for 41 years and they have NEVER let me down. The Party has made mistakes of course, but the intention overall has always been good.

Enough of the trolling BS on DU. Enough I say.

This has always defined the Democratic Party.

As for Franken, I'll reserve judgment until his called-for investigation is complete.
He knows what has taken place and he has said all he needs to say at this point.
