Just a reminder for concerned members

Franken has already called for an investigation into his own actions.

This has been a public service announcement. If you are still feeling woozy, sit down or lay down without a smartphone or other internet enabled device for awhile.

To attempt to win an argument by insulting and belittling those that have legitimate concerns and don't agree with you.

we shouldn't be fighting among ourselves. This is all part of the alt-right/Russian mafia plan.

I, too, had a bit of a "c'mon, you sound like you're excusing ass-grabs as just 'friendly behavior' when that's ass we're talking about here, not just shoulder or back" reaction, to particularly the word "hugs".

However, since I truly can't picture Franken propositioning anybody for a bathroom quickie even when he was a broke teenager -- let alone in Minnesota after Larry Craig -- I can see why he might not feel like dignifying those further.

The non-anonymous accuser did contrast his behavior with that of another politician at the same event. That politician asked about positioning preferences before just leaning in.

So as a response to THAT... I think it was good. Yes, men should learn to respect personal space. Ask, don't ASSume.

going to participate in a court of public opinion. He prefers the more official process. I think it’s the right approach for many reasons.

He has to. Even his call for an investigation, even if it's an investigation of relatively minor things, had to be called.

All so the person accused of doing things TO minors doesn't get to use this as a distraction. So people see what the correct way to respond is.

And hence why, when you look st yesterday's statement not as a response to the butt-grabbing allegations, but to the constructive criticism given by the non-anonymous accuser about how he could do things differently....

It's a good statement.
