What Would Be Better Moore Or Jones In The Senate?

It is kind of conflicting in some ways. What would help Democrats more. Would having Moore in the Senate help turn it over to the Dems or would having Jones be better. Certainly having a Democrat in the Senate right now might just nix the tax thievery.
My gut says having a Democrat would be better.

If Jones wins, Moore might still try to get the republican nomination in 2018, or if he fails, he might run as an independent -- either way, he could split the repubs and open the door for Jones to be re-elected.

It's some sort of "Sore Loser" law, a law that Luther Strange oversaw as Attorney General of AL. So Moore would have to either win the nomination or start off the campaign as an Independent.

and in years of slowly decaying, be a better senator than Roy Moore. His entrails liquefying over time would leave less of a stain on the senate floor than Roy Moore.

Jones seems a decent-enough fellow. This is from Moore's Wiki page:

Moore is an advocate of far-right politics. He earned significant national attention and controversy over his strongly anti-homosexual, anti-Muslim, and far-right views, his belief that Christianity should order public policy, as well as his past ties to neo-Confederates and white nationalist groups. Moore was a leading voice in the birther movement, which promoted the debunked conspiracy theory that former President Barack Obama was not born in the United States. Moore also drew controversy for failing to disclose that he paid himself and his family over $1 million from his charity, Foundation for Moral Law.

Roy Moore was kicked off the Alabama Supreme Court twice: once in 2003 for the Ten Commandments statue, and again in 2016 for "urging" Alabama judges to defy the Obergefell decision.

Roy Moore is a fucking scumbag hiding behind a Bible and the skirts of the little girls he molested. The SOB doesn't belong within a thousand miles of the Senate.

There is no guarantee that Moore would damage the GOP based on what happened in 2016.

Jones. I can't wait to vote for him! Although, my hopes are still not super high.

However, look at Moore's track record. He's such a Alabama, homegrown narcissist, there's a damn good chance he'll run again. "Oh, please run again," Roy Moore. Then, knowing Alabama the way I do, there's also a good chance he'll win. lol

Good Democrat and one step closer to taking back the Senate (just 2 more)!

Worst, most terrible Republican in the state of Alabama goes to godless immoral Washington DC and becomes international symbol of the Republican Party, backed by the occupant of the White House?

Either way - WE WIN!

A win would most likely be temporary, but would be a huge get for a term. Having the Republicans hold that seat isn't helping us any.

Edit: Anyone considering otherwise is waaaaaay overthinking strategy.
