One DCP employee, two contractors, injured in gas pipeline fire near Galeton (NE Colorado)

One DCP Midstream employee and two contractors were injured Thursday in a gas pipeline fire in northeastern Weld County.

Authorities about 3:30 p.m. closed Weld County Road 71 for about 3 miles at Colo. 392 because of the fire at the gas pipeline on a PDC Energy site, which is about 10 miles east of Galeton.

According to Briggsdale Fire Chief James Dilka, the three people were taken to North Colorado Medical Center. . . "Preliminary information suggests that this was an industrial accident, and the scene is being turned over to Briggsdale Fire for further investigation," he said in the news release.
