Louie Gohmert reminds me of some actor but I can't say who for sure.

I'm thinking maybe some character actor who specializes playing goofball/yokel types.

Perhaps David Koechner of SNL and Anchorman fame?

Or a bald version of Oceans Eleven's Eddie Jemison?

......he played a dopey Senator in the Amazon Prime TV series "Alpha House" (developed by Gary Trudeau).

Physical resemblance is quite evident.

On edit, I'll add that Malloy's character was named "Louis Laffer."
