Roy Moore Denies Knowing 5th Accuser, Despite Signed Yearbook

Roy Moore Denies Knowing 5th Accuser, Despite Signed Yearbook
By Margaret Hartmann November 14, 2017

On Monday, a fifth woman accused Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was just 16 years old. Beverly Young Nelson said she met Moore in 1977 when he was a regular at Old Hickory House, where she worked. She said he offered to drive her home one night, but instead he drove her to the back of the restaurant and began groping her breasts and trying to force her head toward his crotch.

Moore adamantly denied her allegations, saying, as with Corfman, that he does not even know Nelson.

Nelson presented a copy of her yearbook in which the then-30-year-old Moore wrote: “To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, D.A.”

Below his name, he wrote the date and “Olde Hickory House,” the name of the restaurant he now claims he has no knowledge of.

Those girls he messed with were not memorable for him. It was something he was always doing from time to time. They were faceless, nameless and inconsequential to him, I suspect. I'd be surprised if he remembered any of them as individual people. But they sure as Hell remember him as their molester.

is it routine for adults who are not teachers to be signing yearbooks? I never had one so I don't know.

but I don’t remember.

I lost them all in a hurricane years ago, so no way to check.

It seems very odd.
