Sensenbrenner graduated from law school, immediately ran for the state legislature and won, seamlessly moved up to the U.S. House and has been there ever since. He does have a Democratic challenger each election cycle, but it is extremely hard to flip that district. Maybe if we win the gerrymandering case in the Supreme Court it will become possible (in that case he would probably retire, though). His current opponent is small business owner Tom Palzewicz, tomforWI.com.
