Surely they can reduce this wall to wall coverage to a few updates and then cutaways when things happen. Were they to do that, they could assign a skilled, older reporter with at least a few ounces of gravitas.
Instead, we get the likes of the vacuous, hipster-eyeglass-clad Sarah Elizabeth Cupp seriously (acted) intoning platitudes to fill air time.

Don't be sliming poor Sarah Cupp because she is incompetent. She can't help it that she is beautiful and thinks she is smarter than everyone else. She goes to a lot of trouble being an asinine pretend to be compassionate person. She has enough trouble wondering if she is anything like the shooter when the experts go through the characteristics of crazies. Or wondering if the guy she was dating online was the same as the shooter.
