In our latest poll with Decision Desk HQ, former Alabama Supreme Court justice Roy Moore and former US attorney Doug Jones are tied in the race to become Alabama’s next US senator ...

Moore has lost a significant portion of the female vote, compared to .. late September: support for Moore among this demographic has decreased from 46% to 39%, with an overall spread change of -14%. Conversely, male support for Moore remains unchanged at roughly 55%. Little has changed among age cohorts, with voters under the age of 45 largely preferring Jones to Moore.

Moore has also seen a significant defection from his own party: just 69% of republican voters said they intend to vote for Moore, a 10-point drop from late September ...

The DNC needs to start pouring resources into Jones. Do absolutely everything possible to paint Moore as the child molester that he is.

I declined. I will donate to the campaign directly but I approve of them starting up their efforts.

Alabama women and men must fight this race to beat Moore. Second would be on the ground help from southerners.

5. If Decision Desk is accurate . . .

as they've been in the past then this breakdown is falling into the same brackets we saw in Virginia: women, voters 45 and under, each block favoring the Democratic candidate. I'd really like to see what the spread is for the AA, Latino and Asian community. I would suspect that favorability within those groups would also favor Jones with his civil rights' work history. If the minority vote favors Jones and Dems ramp up their GOTV ground game, this could be a startling upset on the order of Scott Brown's win for Teddy Kennedy's vacant Senate seat.

Many men in Alabama have a long way to go to catch up with men in the rest of the world. We're talking the deep, DEEP south here, and it's like a badge of honor for them not to change one iota from one generation to the next. This has been going on since the Civil War, and it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon. Sad.

14. Plus many just refuse to believe the accusations are true.

They buy the story that it is all just made up to wreck his candidacy. They would want iron clad proof, which, of course, is not likely. Even telling her mom and some friends at the time it happened is not considered good enough. So he skates off, knowing that positive proof is just not there. I wish more women would come forward with stories about Moore because that seems to be what tipped things against Cosby. The sheer numbers just made it hard to believe you could buy that many women to make an accusation who had actually had contact with the accused.

At that time I live in the El Moore apartments. One day Bill Cosby visited the building. Why that was important is that the El Moore was a big drug den, mostly dealing in Heroin and sedatives. The timeline of his visit and the sexual assault lined up.
