Falwell Jr. stands by Moore: I believe the judge is telling the truth

Prominent evangelical conservative Jerry Falwell Jr. defended Republican Alabama Senate nominee Roy Moore in the wake of an explosive Washington Post report that accuses Moore of inappropriate sexual conduct with a minor in 1979.

“It comes down to a question who is more credible in the eyes of the voters – the candidate or the accuser,” Falwell Jr. told the Religious News Service (RNS) in comments published on Friday.

“The same thing happened to President Trump a few weeks before his election last year except it was several women making allegations,” he continued, referring to the now infamous "Access Hollywood" tape in which Trump is overheard bragging about groping and kissing women.

Fallwell Jr.'s comments come after The Post quoted quotes Leigh Corfman, now 53, as saying Moore kissed her, touched her over her underwear and placed her hand over his underwear when she was 14 years old.
