Despite all this I still think the people of Alabama send Pedo Moore to the Senate. (Original Post) DemocratSinceBirth Nov 2017 OP

Of COURSE they're going to elect him. The ones who are upset about it are probably more upset that the girl wasn't related to him in any way.

He's happy he doesn't work in a boring state. He apparently has an extremely good record for predicting what the political apparatus and voters there will do, and he agrees with you.

Not because Alabamans hate their children, of course, but they do hate losing to us with a ruling passion. And it turns out, Mitch McConnell may have them marginally even more in flames than Democrats these days. They'd vote for Moore JUST to screw ol' Mitch.

(Might as well -- laughing's supposed to be healthy and pumps up courage.)

You know, just for funsies? Moore isn't running against some tomato-can no-hoper. Doug Jones is a public servant with an excellent record, and would be a great addition to the Senate. Roy Moore is a dime-a-dozen cookie-cutter bigot who likes to brandish a cross like a cudgel. Let's just see who Alabamans prefer.

That's why he remains a prohibitive favorite in Trumpabama.

Were I a betting man, I'd give Moore a 1/3 shot at this particular moment.

Then again, were I a betting man, I'd have lost a week's pay each on the Bexit vote, the GOP primary vote in 16, and the Presidential race.

Good thing I don't watch the ponies anymore.

His voters either don't care if the allegations are true, or think he is being smeared by the "Democrat" machine.
