"Well, whatda we do now, Mitch!"

The Republicans are stuck between a rock and hard place...up the old shit creek without a paddle.

They are all looking for one shred of good news from the Virginia race last night. They are having difficulty finding anything positive from the defeat of Ed Gillespie?? He lost by a huge margin.

Ol' Ed thought he could ride the fence and win all the Republican voters. He would agree with Trump on Confederate statues and immigration and guns, and otherwise, he would remain the moderate Republican that everyone thought him to be.

It didn't work. He got his butt kicked up between his shoulder blades. But, he was not alone. Republicans lost across the spectrum. They lost to transsexuals, Sikhs, and black women.

Now, they are trying to figure out what they do next?

It is a dilemma of their own making. If they support Trump, they are guaranteed the vote of their base. But, not much more. His "unfavorables" are close to 60%.

If they try to ride the fence, they lose much of the base.

If they totally split from Trump and Trumpism, they stand to lose all the base.

None of those is a favorable option.

What will be their strategy?

You expect them to have a plan?

Yeah, just like IQ45 has a plan..........

For all of them it's a large circle-jerk - everybody looking at everybody else, bitching about "anything Obama" and "crooked Hillary" - then more looking at everybody else!

And ESPECIALLY, NOTHING for the benefit of the AMERICAN PEOPLE - you know, the 99%!

"Hell of a plan, Trumpie!"

Probably more tempests in teapots, which the media will let pass. They best hope people will listen, and more than the deplorable base. If Mother Russia gets tired of the reichwingers, it's going to be pretty damned tough indeed. Not much hope in Wingnut Town right now.

The "solutions aren't my thing" strategy

The "details,schmetails" strategy

The "I knew nothing" strategy

The "I haven't been indicted" strategy

The "transparency, what is it good for" strategy
