The thing about *irony* is....
....for it to work, it has to be the opposite of what you were expecting.
So if you wanted to use the label "Deplorable" to describe someone but in an ironic sense, you'd probably use it to describe someone like this:
On the other hand, this isn't actually irony but rather merely an instance of truth in advertising:
