I don't want to gloat...

...because I know it takes so little to inspire Trump supporters.

I would not want them to think that they had anyone else to blame but themselves.

Democrats have a long way to go but Republicans have a long way to fall.

Instead of gloating, I think it may be more appropriate to have a moment of silence for the victims, the supporters, of Donald J Trump...

I don't know what is going to happen. I believe there is probably a core group of Trump supporters who are motivated by racism and triumphalism and hatred of liberals and the like, and we aren't ever going to make any progress with them.

There is another group of people who voted for Trump because they didn't fully understand what he was really calling for or who did't think through the implications of a Trump presidency; some of these people might turn to vote Democratically - at least temporarily.

The later group I feel some sympathy for; the former though, can go to hell. And one also has to decide how many are in the Trump for Life camp vs. how many can be convinced to return to sanity.
