Tom Perez appreciation thread.

There were a lot of negative post about him the last couple of days. Looks like getting a DNC chair that does the behind the scenes work pays off.

If we'd lost one of those seats a lot of DU members would be screaming for his head. So I wanted to post my appreciation for the hard work that he and Ellison and the rest of the DNC have put into tonight's victories!

You've gotta go to the local races, the county races, the state races, and BUILD FROM THE BOTTOM UP! Looks like that's just what he's done! That's SO important! Build the infrastructure! Build the bench strength! Take back the governorships and the state legislatures! Especially as we have another census coming up in 2020, and from those results all the Congressional districts get reapportioned.

50. I must admit at first I was skeptical

I wasn't expecting Northam to win nor Dems to win in a big way.

But with all the Dem victories, Perez certainly deserves huge praise, since lord knows we'd all be blaming him if the Dems lost.

And speaking on the morning news shows today, he was energetic and genuine in presenting a clear picture of what it is Dems stand for going forward. (Just wish he didn't remind me of a young Mitch Miller!)

So, as someone who was really disappointed that Howard Dean didn't reclaim the post leading the DNC, I now feel quite confident with Tom holding the reins.
