There's a MyLife page for a James Holmes in Aurora with the handle ldmaster. He's 52 years old.
Link Removed
They're saying the shooter is 24, so this must be a different James Holmes.

(4,442 posts)It appears that this poster, "idmaster" is a police officer. Mentioned losing a "fellow officer"
The poster mentions that he and his "daughter" go to see "violent" films together. Seems maybe this poster is too old to be the 24 yr old shooter.
Really upsetting post, in light of last nights shooting, that idmaster participated in, titled "What to say after a shooting "
I think we should all think a little bit about the kinds of things Google saves about us, or any other site...
I sure wouldn't want to be involved in a shooting and have them dredge up a post where I joked about something like "I shot him 52 times, because I had to reload"
I was looking through the news (which is full of death and murder) and you inevitably find quotes dredged up by the pseudo-intelligentsia (journalists) where they google someone's online history and find something they said that makes the person look creepy...
And you can believe the police do a thorough search too, in fact, Google and similar industry leaders have specific software they provide to police agencies, for just that purpose...
No kidding.

(16,230 posts)He's 52 and apparently involved with gun clubs and such. The Tea Party member is likely to be him and not the shooter.

(146,318 posts)Colorado, please keep in mind that both names are rather common. I see mistakes have already been posted in this thread. Fortunately, the links have been removed. It's very dangerous to do amateur investigations that aren't complete or accurate, and it can do real harm to innocent people.
No doubt we will find out who this murderous idiot is, but searching for "James Holmes" will take you down many false directions and posting links to people with those names could cause great harm.
