NYT article from 2003 reveals her friendships with Rove, Nordquist, and other GOPers.

Two years ago, Donna Brazile, then Al Gore's campaign manager, was engaged in daily combat with Karl Rove, then George W. Bush's top campaign strategist.
Today, they chirpily exchange e-mail, chat on the phone and write letters, indulging in their shared zeal for the inner workings of politics.
''I like her a lot,'' said Mr. Rove, now ensconced in the West Wing as President Bush's chief political adviser.
Ms. Brazile, a committed Democrat who was the first black woman to manage a presidential campaign, has built similar relationships with other Republicans, like Grover Norquist, an influential conservative strategist.

(5,730 posts)that was when I lost respect for her.
After reading this OP, I think it's possible that she back & forthed with Karl Rove about her book. She's heading to Fox News.

(7,813 posts)I used to see her on lots of different TV interviews. The reichwingers spewed all their usual lies and propaganda, but all Donna did was smile and nod. I wanted her to counter their lies, fight back, speak truth to imbecility - something! But she never did.
I won't waste another minute on that enabler.
