Bottom line people, any Democrat is better than any republican.

Even if they are less liberal or less progressive than we like they are much better than a republican. No democratic candidate is perfect but they always get my vote no matter what mistake they might have made. Like my children use to say when they were small, republicans are mean and not nice. Beware of Russian bots trying to divide us with disinformation. They are still there in full force. Unite, even though we disagree on a few things or they win again.

No matter how shitty their candidate/s may be, Republican voters turn out on every Election Day. Too many "progressives" and "leftists" don't come out and vote for Democrats, out of misguided purity.

Here's the hard reality: Election decisions are made by people WHO. SHOW. UP.

This "nothing-but-the-best-for-the-oppressed" attitude sucks.

THERE AIN'T NO SUCH ANIMAL AS A "PERFECT" OR "PURE" CANDIDATE. DEAL WITH IT.

Want to take over the Democratic Party? Can't do that until you are actually IN the Democratic Party. On the local level. Your local Democratic club or committee in your hometown.

You join, become a district leader, attend the meetings, and learn who the players are and where the wires are being pulled. Maybe even run for an office yourself, albeit an "obscure" one such as library board, zoning board, school board, etc.

Get leftists and progressives into the local Democratic Parties IN DROVES, and soon they'll influence the state and national party leaders to the point where you will see real change.

Stop waiting for Wonder Woman or Superman.

Do it yourself. Join, get out there, canvass the neighborhoods, phone-bank, etc.

(End of rant)

from local dog catcher to the president since I could vote in 1980. I should've known then that it was not going to be getting any better with the GOP mindset promoted by Reagan's trickle down economics, moral majority, and conspicuous consumption. Since 1980 all the GOP has done is make me miserable by lying, stealing and cheating the average person to further their own wealth through hypocrisy and selfish greed.

It’s been that way for decades. Eisenhower was the last decent GOP president, and even he was saddled with Richard Nixon as his veep.
