Depending on the nature and extent of various pre-trial motions, don't expect that date to be carved in stone.

At the outset of a case, the court will usually set a 'default schedule' and have a preliminary conference thereafter to discuss with the parties how the case is going to be generally managed. That schedule generally ends up being modified in the course of events.
