Her side negotiated tough love terms: paying down the debt, prudent spending, and oversight over operations to make sure the DNC was digging itself out from under. In addition, she lent the DNC $10,000,000 and engaged in robust fund raising to put the DNC on the path to solvency, despite the fact that it garnered her the contempt of the purists.

HRC served and continues to serve the party well, by raising funds for candidates and the party this cycle and by having donated (with little fanfare) a former candidate's most valuable asset - her email list - to the DNC.
