Mitt SACRIFICED as Governor!!! He decided not to accept the $135,000 salary!
$135,000 is a LOT of money.....unless you are multi-multi-millionaire!
Lets say Mitt made a paltry 1% return on his $200 million net worth. That is TWO MILLION dollars a year. And we know he made more than %1 on his money!
So Mitt turned down $135,000. Wow, that is like someone with a net worth of $200,000 (own your home, etc) turning down $135.
So I am not impressed with Mitt turning down his salary!
This woman just does not get how clueless she comes across.
Turn over your Tax Returns Mitt. Prove us all WRONG!

(22,308 posts)I fail to see the distinction between paying an extra $135,000/yr and allowing the government to keep $135,000/yr that would have been paid to you.

(5,198 posts)--there is no way they can make it to the WH on their own merit, so the R's will try to steal it. Let us not be outflanked by these dirty dealing mfers.

(16,038 posts)then there would have been a more serious ethical issue of conflict of interest...accepting pay from both the people of the state and corporate enemies of the people of the state just wouldn't be right...
