My guess is Mueller pretty much knows who did what. Now he's building a case for a jury.

"Mr. Manafort, we have a recording of you saying (this) to (whom). You can take your chances with a jury and go to prison for a long long time, or you can cooperate."

Nay - It IS!

Except we're not laughing any more. Stephen Colbert said it wonderfully last night. He said that the news was (paraphrasing here) that people in the West Wing feel like things are out of hand, that they don't know what to do, and they can't fight the horrible feeling of foreboding without being able to do anything about it. To which all Colbert could say is "Welcome to my world!"

... so I guess he's making the point that he doesn't speak for the Federal Judges.

Now he's working for the NY Attorney General and they are badasses! They're going to get Trump & others and no presidential pardons will be possible.

would have dared to call the justice system in the USA a joke?

Trump is a dammed fascist dictator wannabe, he is an agent of a hostile foreign government that is determined to destroy this country from within.

After all, isn't the president supposed to be preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution of the United States? Why is President Trump being so derelict in his sworn duty?

in all his years of flimflammery, they never indicted Trump. Example: he got a warning about money laundering re his NJ casino.

this in a flippant emotional manner is of course incredibly disgusting -- so irresponsible and so blatantly self-serving. He's disparaging all of those judges and police officers etc that he claims to love and is doing all of this in front of the world, especially his beloved Putin. Just think of the effect this will have -- you will have scumbags around the world saying out own justice system is corrupt/inefficient -- a "joke." Trump is tearing the country apart like a rabid dog.

Any other president, including Bush I, Bush II, and Reagan (obviously Obama and Clinton) would have been heavily, heavily criticized for such an outrageous statement.

May now plead that the President has discounted the entire judiciary and therefore their client will not obtain their constitutional protections due to the flaws denoted by the Commander in Chief?

Remember the 3 ways Trump will be brought down: 1) the press; 2) the judiciary; and 3) the FBI/CIA. He has spent his entire presidency demeaning each one of these. Certainly the behavior of a guilty man with a helluva lot of power. Certainly not a coincidence.
