conundrum. Figuring out the algorithm to get someone to move, retrain or see themselves in a different role is a complicated one, and it's going to take a variety of efforts, including a complete re-understanding of the role of work in our society.

When you take training for a job that's low pay and in some cases short term, you don't deserve sympathy, for being intentionally stupid and placing your faith in a man who has spent most of his time in office lying through his teeth!!!

clean energy and automation. When I first started at my job we had over 5000 people working mostly because of automation there's now less than 1000

Arguably, these miners are of the second category... Still, Trump and his RW minions, including his fundy charlatons have suckered a lot of people through targeted campaigns. I have to have some sympathy when they were so directly targeted.
