Let's join Sarah in remembering presidents Washington, Jefferson, JFK, Roosevelt, and Kennedy.

It was probably a slip of the tongue, but Twitter was swift and unforgiving in its skewering of Sarah Huckabee Sanders after the White House press secretary referred to “JFK” and “Kennedy” as two different presidents during a Tuesday press briefing.

Speaking to reporters about White House Chief of Staff John Kelly’s controversial comments about Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, Sanders, reading from notes, contended that “all of our leaders have flaws.”

“Washington, Jefferson, JFK, Roosevelt, Kennedy. That doesn’t diminish their contributions to our country. It certainly can’t erase them from our history. And Gen. Kelly was simply making the point that just because history isn’t perfect doesn’t mean it’s not our history,” she said.

“All of our leaders have flaws”?!?!?

Robert E Lee is a traitor and murderer.
Is she comparing Lee to Jefferson, Roosevelt and Kennedy (and JFK )? WOW!

We are focusing on the wrong thing. I get it’s funny but this is the WH spox comparing a confederate traitor to 3 actual leaders (yes, flawed, but not traitors. They never took up arms against their own country to defend the slavery, rape and murder of other human beings).

This is disgusting

shitgibbon did that when he said that removing statues of Washington and Jefferson would come after removing confederate statues. They are trying to switch the talk of traitors taking up arms against the US with owning slaves. Obviously both are horrific, but nobody ever got a statue for being a slave owner.

There aren't any statues of Benedict Arnold, either. Somebody should ask huckamonster why not.
