Trump will never spend a day in jail

I also believe he will not finish his term as president. He will be forced out, probably with the threat of impeachment, or through use of the 25th amendment. Once he's out of office, President Pence will pardon him.

No president has ever spent a day in jail after leaving office. This doesn't mean that some shouldn't have. It just never happened. And it won't happen with Trump.

Do you think Trump will do jail time? Let's hear about it.

NY AG can get them.

This pardon power is absurd in that he can commit any crime he wants, mass murder of 30 million people, then pardon himself.

"He will be forced out, probably with the threat of impeachment, or through use of the 25th amendment. Once he's out of office, President Pence will pardon him."

I don't think his business entities are on even close to solid ground. He is leveraged in no way and is in debt to the point he can't recover. I would rather watch him wither away fighting lawsuit after lawsuit than pass that off to others. I already feel when he steps down he will blame his children for the state of his business.

But he won't be able to pay back his debts to Putin if he can't pass the billionaire tax cut. He'll end up in an FSB sub-basement for the rest of his life.

Trump either blows up the investigation and our country goes to a very, very, very dark place.....or he gets impeached and removed or is forced to resign.

The Trump-Pence two-fer that everyone (including me) wants to happen isn't going to actually happen. Mike Pence will be President, not because he's blameless (because he's certainly involved, at least tangentially) but because I don't think the political capital between both Republicans and Democrats is going to be there to remove Pence along with Trump.

However, once President, Pence will either have to a) pardon Trump, and explain to voters in 2020 why he chose to pardon the worst President in US History who colluded with the Russian government to get elected, or b) not pardon Trump, wherein Trump will likely be indicted and stand trial, and Americans watching a former President on trial will be forced to remember every day who Donald Trump chose to be his Vice President.

The latter scenario is a win-win, IMHO.

between being president and being rich and being old, he's got many chances to avoid prison time.

i continue to think he'll serve out his term.

i expect he will be able to settle cases against him for huge sums of money. i know these are criminal cases and not civil cases, but when you're that rich, you can settle for money as a practical matter. if there is time to be "served", it will be house arrest and probation.

And after they repeat it loud enough and for long enough and after RW radio picks up on the mantra there will be enough of an outcry by the gullible public to let the asshole walk.

Whatever collusion his campaign had, there's no evidence yet that he knew, and everything else that's been suggested is still unsupported allegation.

But I think there’s a reason there are several RICO attorneys on Mueller’s team.

I think is business dealings are going to bring him down.

OJ didn't go to jail for murder. Trump would have an even stronger defense team. If any president deserved to go to jail it was John Tyler. But, he died before he could be prosecuted. Taking the side of the confederacy after serving as president was unabashed treason.
