(10,024 posts)doing his best to divide the nation and bully his enemies with his vindictiveness.
This is doing great harm to our nation. A compassionate politician would use moments like this to try to bring the country together like even Bush did after 9/11. Trump is truly the leader of the deplorables.
One of the few things Bush did right.

(1,009 posts)that terrorism is the #1 talking point to get republican voters aligned with Trump. Trump's win was fear based. Putin playbook 101.
I live in NY, my husband works in NYC , and while 9/11 is still traumatic to this day, and terrorist attacks do bring on some subconscious anxiety that can't be helped, logically I am more afraid of what this govt is doing to our country, our environment, and white extremist groups terrorism in our country.
We lose much more people from shootings in this country to natural born american citizens who are extremists.
Any american citizen can pretty much become radicalized by religious extremism and hop in a car and plow people down. There's nothing you can do to prevent it. The roots of muslim extremism are far wider than religion too. Religion is just the vehicle to keep them in control & radicalize.
