Extreme vetting for immigrants, almost no vetting for people who buy guns

The risk of being killed in a mass shooting in our country is still much higher than the risk of being killed by a terrorist attack. Yet dear leader continues to overreact to the first and under react to the latter.

But someone with a semi-automatic rifle modified with a bump-fire stock can kill a lot more people than a guy driving a Home Depo rental truck.

the Las Vegas incident involving a white guy with a homemade machine gun is far, far worse and we haven't heard a peep from Congress. You'd think banning bump stocks or other devices that turn a killing machine into an annihilation machine would be an easy vote. Instead, we're going to be subjected to more talk about vetting immigrants and suggestions to register all Muslims (heard on CSPAN this morning).

Except that there is some vetting for appointments--they have to be a crook to be considered.
