.... I live in Central Wash in a reddish-blue county. A College town. I have seen NO MAGA caps and the few 30x60 trump signs in the fields are disappearing. Do his rabid followers really exist other than the ones paid to attend donnies pity rallies? I even asked fellow libtards if they noticed any MAGA caps...or t shirts...NOPE...just a few bumper stickers.
I, however, have my car plastered with bumper stickers, I wear an anti trump shirt almost every day. I leave RESIST calling cards everywhere...the Dem office had 1000 trick or treaters last night (even the R. Rep brought his kids by for candy)
We even have our own version of the KKK here who pop up from time to time with flyers but I'm guess its some 14 yr old boy in his moms basement.
So where are these people who apparently are holding America hostage???

(4,661 posts)The South is full of them. The evangelical so-called Christians are unwavering in their worship of the orange Cheeto Jesus. They don't care about facts and don't listen to reason. It's all about blind faith. My own family has many of these mentally challenged people.

(1,924 posts)I am utterly surrounded by them in Macomb Twp, Michigan. I don't see much in the way of signs anymore. But I still see the occasional hat and nearly every vehicle around here has a Trump, NRA, MGO or MCRGO(local gun groups) stickers.

(4,742 posts)I see occasional Trump Pence bumper stickers. No more big signs. I don't think I've ever seen a MAGA red hat in person. Who knows.

(6,377 posts)Those things emerge during presidential campaigns, and were still a few years away from that. You didnt see Bush/Cheney billboards popping up in 2001, or Obama/Biden signs popping up in 2009.

(30,613 posts)Maybe Pence signs, but I don't think an impeached ex-president is likely to run again.

(10,721 posts)Just as it was back when he was campaigning. During the honeymoon phase a new POTUS experiences, his approval rating got up into the 40s. But his true ceiling (and floor?) is somewhere in the 30s. That would suggest 80 or so million US adults are solidly behind him, even after all that he's done and said. Maybe half of them are the foaming at the mouth type. But they all vote.
If we magically woke up tomorrow in a world without racism, xenophobia and misogyny, that number would drop to 5 million at most. The Republican Party would no longer be viable. There's no chance in hell their economic or foreign policy proposals would garner sufficient support, absent bigotry. No chance.

(2,367 posts)I drove by a house with a giant Trump flag flying right next to the American flag...and I live in Connecticut. They are everywhere.
