...who are squabbling about, well, everything, but for the moment a proposal to introduce congestion tolls to drive into Manhattan. De Blasio had a press conference w/ Bernie (in town for De Blasio's campaign rally) to trash the Governor's first "Fix NYC" Commission meeting.
No good will come of this.

(94,728 posts)Most NYC residents don't own cars, much less drive them to work. The people who do can afford the additional tolls, which would be targeted at mass transit improvements.

(13,501 posts)when i read about this earlier, I got really irritated. (And I'm team De Blasio re: subway fights bc I think Cuomo is a real schmuck who's passing the buck.)

(67,782 posts)...a fan of either. Andrew is NOT his father, and not impressed with DeBlasio, either.
But they are just two obstinate politicians, I can't understand why they don't get together privately and hash out their differences instead of having this long-term cold relationship.
Not good for the city or the state.
