So Manafort laundered money via an antique rug store and a suit store.
And this IS the BIG NEWS we've been waiting on?
Excuse me for a minute ... I am so not impressed that I feel like this two bit Mueller thing is nothing compared to what was hoped for. Is it merely just another distraction by the pukes? I rather so!
Are there more indictments coming soon to take these frauds DOWN or not? An antique rug store and a fancy suit don't do jack for me!
Am I alone in my disappointment or is this truly "just the beginning"?

(52,319 posts)this is exactly the sort of thing that helps flip witnesses to build bigger cases against bigger fish.
it's not a disappointment unless and until mueller says, "well, that's all i got."

It is difficult to be cautiously optimistic given the tract record with this batch of criminals.

(4,490 posts)Is completely out of whack. Two major indictments of people who worked closely and directly with Trump in less than a year of investigation is a pretty big deal. Also if you look at the unsealed indictment, money laundering isn't the only charge.
The idea that this is a distraction by Republicans is pretty ridiculous and a distraction in itself.

(1,009 posts)it's through an antique store and a suit store, etc. does not mean that money laundering isn't a BIG deal. That's sometimes the whole point of money laundering. Do it through some unassuming little mom & pop store. Except those stores could be set up simply for that and not really legitimate businesses.
In other words, those businesses could open a can of worms in themselves, and give lots of useful information as well. There seems to be a lot of players here who could actually flip.

I don't think you are aware of what is in the indictment. You just white-washed the whole thing in an attempt to minimize it.

What else? Is there anything damning enough to impeach The Orange Frankenstein?
Boo! Happy Halloween not quite yet!

I don't think you are being serious here. I don't mean that with any offense. I just see no way you can come to your "IMO". It just minimizes everything that is in the indictment to the point it has to be on purpose.

(20,878 posts)Others will say just that to escape the reality of what is going on. My minimizing it, it hopefully will become irrelevant. It won't become irrelevant as long a Mueller has more indictments to unveil. The sooner the better!

(30,481 posts)It's also clearly a lot more than you have defined. You have simply omitted everything in order to claim it is nothing.
