BREAKING: Top GOP fundraiser arrested for rapes

BREAKING: Top GOP fundraiser arrested for rapes

by blue aardvark

Utah authorities on Wednesday accused a high-profile Republican fundraiser of raping women at a cabin where he hosted events for some of the biggest names in politics in the state.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported on Thursday that prosecutors charged GOP fundraiser Greg Peterson with 23 felony counts, including the rapes of four women. Jail records online showed that he was still being held on $750,000 bond.

And here is a picture of this alleged rapist shaking hands with Mitt Romney.

Here is a link to Petersen's Facebook page, which prominently features the Romney photo. He's a financial planner who studied at BYU and claims to speak Spanish and Russian.
And this must be kept in mind.

None of the alleged crimes appear to be directly connected to Peterson’s political activities or the candidates he hosted fundraisers for.

Wonder if he's one of Mitt's bundlers?

When authoritarianism is reinforced in a group environment, like church or politics, it emboldens some of those with weaker character to act on impulses that might have stayed subdued otherwise.

I liken them to dogs that run in packs.

Certainly the Ron Paul/Texas Libertarian wing. Their fundamental law is "Might makes Right." One person selfishly taking advantage of another--that's fine. If she can defend herself, that's OK, too. If she can't, well, then she doesn't really have the right to be safe then. The government should not try to impose additional burdensome restrictions on his behavior, either. That would be taking away his freedom--to rape others. Since corporations are people, too, my friend, they get to rape EVERYBODY!

If these women had gotten preggers the Gawd fearing goppers would say "hell no" to them to abortions.

Sinful person and probably hiding behind the bible.

against Ann Richards in 1990.

The Republican gubernatorial nominee apologized today for an off-the-cuff remark suggesting that some victims of rape should ''relax and enjoy it.''

The candidate, Clayton Williams, had initially played down the remark as being a joke.

Women's groups and political opponents of Mr. Williams strongly criticized the candidate for the comment.

It ''questions his ability to understand the kinds of problems faced by the people of Texas,'' said Ann Richards, the State Treasurer and a runoff candidate for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination. ''Rape is a crime of violence.''

Just saying.

Imagine if he was a Democratic bundler. The MSM would NEVER let this issue go. Demands for return of money, attacks on Obama, and more. But in this case, I suspect silence is golden.
