This is why Carter should have kept his mouth shut.

I love the guy. But his need of self importance gives trump cover. Trump aint ever going to use him fo north korea. But he will use his comments to lie and defend himself and try to tar other dems as crooked and claim what a victim he is. Just look at what carter believes he says!!

and thinks he can be of help there. Buttering up that asshole is the only way to get his attention, unfortunately. Hopefully, he will slap down this asshole's tweets.

The right hates Jimmy Carter, and think he was a terrible president. I can't imagine they like Dear Leader sucking up to him like that.

Carter's comments aren't going to change a thing. There's a tendency to turn every little thing into an overblown sensation in the 24 hour news cycles. Carter's words will not change the outlook of a single person.

People were acting as if the press was going to stop doing its job when Carter had said that.

partly by acting as though he is still chief executive and can override an administration's strategy.

I heard an audio tape some years ago in which roslynCarter talked about the Carter initiative re N Korea when Carter was no longer president, and found it disturbing. she revealed that they're acting on the belief that their personal relationship strategy could touch the heart of the leader of N Korea.
