Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein explains how Mueller warrants are probably about 'conspiracy'

Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein explains how Mueller warrants are probably about 'conspiracy'
Bob Brigham 27 OCT 2017 AT 21:26 ET

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper interviewed legendary Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein to discuss breaking news that a grand jury has filed sealed charges against in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigations into possible Donald Trump campaign collusion with Russia and potential White House obstruction of justice.

“I’ve talked to some of the lawyers that knew this was coming, they believe the intent is to get one or more of these people to cooperate and turn over some more facts about what the prosecutors think may be a conspiracy,” Bernstein reported.

Obstruction or tax evasion. Something that puts the squeeze on them and gets them to talk.

Some low level nobody that knows damming info and doesn't want to spend 20 years in a Federal pen to protect Twitler/Pence.

The other guests thought that Mueller is doing it now since he is concerned that someone may try to flee the country or going after "small fish" first, hoping that they will flip. They all agreed that this will most likely take over a year to complete.....if we last that long.

in the United States during the early 1970s, following a break-in by 4 Cuban Americans and 1 American at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C. on June 17, 1972. What escalated matters was President Richard Nixon’s administration attempt to cover-up its involvement. After the 5 burglars were caught and the conspiracy was discovered, Watergate was investigated by the U.S. Congress; meanwhile Nixon's administration resisted its probes, which led to a constitutional crisis.[1] . .

Nixon resigned the presidency on August 9, 1974.'
