I just turned onto Fox News. It was really creepy...and totally bizarre.

They are ignoring the charges that Mueller has filed. Completely ignoring them.

The headline read: No details in Democrat Scandals.

They were talking about the "fact" (in other words, fiction) that HRC sold our uranium to Russia for 110 million dollars. And that is so much worse than Donald Trump Jr. taking one meeting that supposedly came to nothing.

They live in an alternate reality. Unfortunately, they have demonstrated a great ability in the past to bring a large percentage of the country into that alternate reality with them.

The worst part of the post-Watergate era is the way it laid the groundwork for insane amounts of swiftboating.

The people at Fox are truly bereft of personal ethics. They are fundamentally evil people.

There are millions of people who don't watch NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC whatsoever, and don't read any newspaper. The only news they see is Fox, they listen to Sean Hannity at night, and then listen to Rush Limbaugh while driving to work. If they don't see or hear about something from those sources, they have no idea it's happening at all.

Fri Oct 27, 2017, 11:51 PM
Oct 2017

when bombshell reports come out. I know it's a bullshit, propaganda network. But when a bombshell, anti GOP story comes out, I watch Fox to see the following things:

1. What lengths do they have to do TO AVOID talking about it? What do they have to talk about INSTEAD? How many straws do they have to grasp at to change the subject? (If they have some democratic party scandal that even has a small grain of truth to it...that's a good day for them. But if they REALLY HAVE TO SQUIRM to find something to ELSE to talk about, it's a bad day for them.)

2. I look to see how breathless they are, and how exasperated. If they can't be right, they at least can be LOUD. And Sean Hannity is LITERALLY SCREAMING at the camera these days, from the beginning monologue to the end of the show. That's a sign of real desperation.

3. I look to see how deep the ad hominem attacks are. That's also a sign of desperation.

4. Finally, I look to see if there are any cracks in the facade of pundits. Some of their panel pundits are more in the tank than others. People like Mollie Hemingway and Laura Ingram would NEVER say anything negative about Republicans and their masters, no matter WHAT they do. But there are one or two people who have a lower threshold, and, to save their own reputations, will actually start to say negative things if the scandal is bad enough. Chris Wallace and Shep Smith are the two hosts that will crack first. Charles Krauthammer is usually the first pundit that will crack. Good example: The day Trump was PRAISING KKK and NEONAZIS, Ingram and Hemingway equivocated and defended him, Krauthammer was the first to crack (%100 negative), ....but when I saw STEVE HAYES criticizing Trump, I knew they were desperate.

Fox FIRED George Will for being the first pundit to crack. A few others will be out the door soon. But it's alway fun to watch whether there will be a unified front, or cracks in the facade.

Put yes, absolutely, it's a brainwashing, propagandistic alternative universe to be sure. Here's my best example: remember that time when the GOP shut down the government after the 2012 election...JUST OUT OF SPITE because they were so pissed off that Obama won? EVERYBODY knew it was the GOP and blamed them. John McCain said "We're down to family and paid staffers" who are still with the GOP on the shutdown.

I turn into Hannity....and the fist words out of his mouth were "We're now into day three of THE OBAMA/REID government shutdown." WTF? That's right. Hannity was spinning a story to his idiot viewers that the shutdown was somehow Obama and Harry Reid's fault.

It has been too long so I don’t remember if it was carried on all the networks. I just remember watching the coverage. It was live and you could see and hear for yourself what each witness said. I wonder if we will ever have live court room proceedings for Russia gate or whatever clever name gets assigned to the 2016 election grab? We’ve seen a few hearings in front of congressional committees that were pretty interesting and enlightening.

So if there is coverage (without running commentary), just witnesses answering questions, wonder what the Fox viewers will think? Many of us have followed this for months and know a lot of the details and the players. But Fox viewers have been kept Fat, dumb and happy regarding Russia. They honestly think their man is innocent and really had nothing to do with it. Boy, are they in for a shock. I hope when all of this is revealed that there are emails, recordings, etc to prove that the tRump campaign did collude and contrive to steal the election. So obvious that even they cannot deny it. I would love to see their reaction when they find out they have been duped....bigly.

Donnie is just trying to deflect from his Russian cesspool, that also involves his son and various of his associates. The uranium deal was approved by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US. The committee is composed of representatives from several US government agencies, including the State Department (nine agencies reviewed the deal). The members of the committee are career civil servants and experts in the subject matter. The heads of these agencies do not participate. The analysis and recommendations of the committee are then sent to the agency heads. Any of the agency heads could object to the deal, but has no veto power. The final approval rests with the president. Therefore, Hillary was only one the heads of one of the agencies and had no final say on the issue.

I agree that Trump's Russia ties are appalling and their attempts to deflect the truth by making up a uranium scandal are preposterous.

That said, I still think our own FBI was much more important to the election than Putin was. The FBI became totally corrupted and deliberately threw the election to Trump. The fact that Trump and Comey later had a falling out is irrelevant.

The Republicans at the FBI wanted HRC to lose, the GOP candidate to win and Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court. They got what they wanted.
