That is all, I just wanted to say that.
Plus, she is a GREAT patriot!

On the male side, Barack Obama is second on the list behind Dwight D. Eisenhower and just ahead of Hillary's husband in 3rd place.

(58,785 posts)proud, to have very good candidates who share my values and goals like Obama and Hillary to vote for. I'm proud of President Obama and of America for electing him president, and i'd so love to have him back. I long for President Hillary Clinton and what would have been. If only.

(31,112 posts)I didnt even say anything about liking her politics.
I happen to prefer her politics over what is available, tell the truth NONE of them are liberal enough for me, but I take what I can get given I understand the TWO Party system.
My hero is Mel Brooks and my heroine is Carol Burnett.
Wait, George Carlin too.

(58,785 posts)Since this surprisingly turned into conflict time, though, I'll admit that I wouldn't put unhappy, mean, nasty humored Carol Burnett in the same book, much less in the same sentence, with dark but brilliant George Carlin, one of my favorites. (Damn you, George, for not being here to suffer along with us today!!!)
Guessing Rob Reiner wouldn't care for the company either. Rosanne Barr's a problem, and she like Burnett turned nasty as soon as success encouraged them to think they could get away with it.

WAs that sarcasm?
Burnett nasty? This is the first I have heard of this and I have heard many many people in the biz talk about her.
I assumed this was sarcasm, I now see some recent stories about her but I dont know if I can believe them.
As to the other stuff, I hear ya.
No problemo.
But Carol?
Rob Reiner, have you heard him tell stories about her?
AS to my response about heroes, I am so used to people here giving me backhanded shit when I say something nice about HRC or whoever mainstream Dem, I thought you were doing that and i was wrong and I apologize.

(42,862 posts)So glad she's on our team. We need more people who SUPPORT Democrats to make up for the irritating people to smear and denigrate Democrats with lies and attacks.
She's so intelligent. She's NOT one of those politicians who's "in-it" for personal gain. She's honorable. She has integrity. She's intelligent. She's not afraid to take a stand. She's not afraid to compromise.
She's understands REALITY and she knows how politics works. She knows you have to give a little to get a little. She totally gets the fact that standing-still is NOT "progressive". She's NOT wrapped up in vanity-politics. She's not in it to boost her ego or bank account.
She's loyal. She's truthful. She gives credit where credit is due. She's not the kind of politician to steal ideas or glom-on to others coattails. She's her own woman. She's respected around the world. She's an inspiration to me, and countless other women and girls around the globe.

(9,967 posts)since the election was stolen from her, she's reemerged even stronger than before. She looks confident, vibrant, full of life, healthy.
Unlike trump, she smiles a laughs often. Meanwhile, trumo has a perpetual scold and is a bitter, unhappy man. Their souls are reflected on their faces and in their actions.
Hillary's incredible strength is truly inspiring.

Sigh and damn it.

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY
The influence of values planet Venus on your birthday means that everything you do must have some kind of meaning. You may be a bit too serious for some people's tastes but that's their problem. You intend to make your existence count.

Heard the words 'The Clinton Foundation' used repeatedly as though it were a sleazy foundation from which the Clintons personally skimmed money. Donations to 'The Clinton Foundation' charity were treated as suspect, as potentially corrupt...when there's no reason to believe that. The Clinton Foundation gets the highest charity ratings and does amazing things around the world. Haven't heard that the 4 million dollar donation from Guisto somehow benefitted the clintons at all.
Lots of other problems with the conversation but the bottom line is that: We agree that Hillary, her State Dept, or her deputy, or the next in line SHOULD NOT VOTE YES ON THE SALE OF A COMPANY OWNING URANIUM MINES just because someone who owned a company PRIOR to the sale of that company to another company which was then sold to Russian interests at some subsequent point contributed money to a charity that the clintons were involved in. That would be a poor reason to vote yes.
By the same token, Hillary SHOULD NOT VOTE NO ON THE SALE because the prior owner of a company contributed to a particular charity that the clintons were involved in.
Shouldn't vote yes based on charity contributions....shouldn't vote NO either. There's a process, there are rules, there are tests for appropriateness that were all followed. THAT'S WHAT THE VOTE SHOULD BE BASED ON.
