Top 10 Conservative Idiots #3-19: The New Adventures Of Robin Trump & Liddle Bob Edition

Welcome back to the Top 10 Conservative Idiots! First off – GO DODGERS!!!! Whew!!!! Yeah, I have Dodgers fever because we’re in Burbank this week. Sorry Cubs, you had a great run. But anyone who can beat the New York Yankees… yeah boo!!!!, I am all for it! We are back everybody! I'm going to make the intro short this week because we have a lot of idiocy to get to. Let’s start with a cool event that happened in Los Angeles this week, and I’m not talking about the collective hangover the Dodgers fans are celebrating after all night benders. So Tom Petty… right? This isn’t Jeopardy, sir! And one of his biggest songs called “Free Falling”. Well anyway there was a huge homage to Tom Petty and his song last week in Ventura, California. So the famous lyric in the song goes “And the vampires walk down Ventura Blvd”. Well the city of Sherman Oaks closed off the 15000 block of Ventura Blvd – near the Sherman Oaks Galleria, where the vampires really did march down Ventura Blvd. It was a really cool event that turned out great with the whole mall getting into it. OK enough of the intro. We got a lot of idiocy to get to this week. But first Bill Maher is back and he rails on the concept of the whole Facebook Russia fiasco with “Shit Starters”:

Number one this week is easily going to go to the Alt Right (1). So Richard Spencer got shut down in Gainsville this week while speaking to the University Of Florida. Maybe Florida isn’t as crazy as we thought. In the second slot, we’re bringing back “Beating A Dead Horse”. We’re going to introduce you to a controversial right wing anti-immigration protest group called “VDare” that’s too extreme for Breitbart! And this is the third time they got denied to host their annual convention. At number 3 originally were going to talk about Mike Pence, but we have to talk about the Trump V. Corker feud, and it is quite exquisite. President Trump (4) takes up just a single slot this week. But man it’s a doozy – and he continues to attack the widow of fallen Niger soldier Sgt. La David Johnson. Whew. Trump, keep doing what you’re doing. In the number 5 slot we originally had a much different segment planned, but we got to talk about Barstool Sports (5). So ESPN cancelled their new show “Barstool Van Talk” after one episode – and wait until you find out the reason behind it. At the number 6 slot, we’re doing our due diligence by reporting on all the wackiness surrounding the Christian right in our favorite segment where I try out my inner preacher, “Holy Shit” (6). And that name is a double pun too! Taking the seventh slot is, ugh, it’s Alex Jones (7). And yes we have to talk about his latest rant, and he really is the gift of crazy that just keeps on giving. At number 8 is former Playboy Playmate and the world’s most famous porn star Jenna Jameson (8). Did you know that Playboy hired its’ first ever transgender model? Well, Ms. Jameson isn’t having any of it, and we will explain further. In the number 9 (NEIN!!!!) slot we’ve got a new installment of “People Are Dumb” because, well, people are dumb. Finally this week its’ more of the Top 10 World Tour (10). This time we’re going to one of the biggest countries in the entire world. It’s the home of the Great Wall, the land of chow mein, and Tianamen Square, the home of Macau and Hong Kong, I’m of course talking about China! Plus we have some live music for you from the one and only Macklemore! His new album “Gemini” is outstanding, and if you don’t have it, well, get out of my audience. Enjoy! And as always don’t forget the key!

The Alt Right
[br]
[br] B

Before we start this week, I have a Top 10 update for you – this is about the Kid Rock For Senate campaign, that is officially no more.

Kid Rock has officially ruled out a run for Senate in Michigan next year.

Speaking to radio shock jock Howard Stern on Tuesday, Robert Ritchie, also known by his stage name Kid Rock, sought to dispel rumors that he would jump into the 2018 race to unseat incumbent Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

"F--- no I'm not running for Senate, are you f---ing kidding me?" he told Stern. "Who couldn't figure that out?"

Kid Rock, a prominent Michigan Republican who visited President Donald Trump at the White House in April, fueled speculation earlier this year that he may run.

A July poll showed him in a virtual dead heat with Stabenow, a longtime Michigan senator. The same poll showed him with a substantial lead in Michigan's GOP primary.
http://www.businessinsider.com/kid-rock-says-he-wont-run-for-senate-2017-10?utm_source=feedly&utm_medium=referral

Well, to be fair, his campaign lasted 12.5 Scaramuccis. Hey o!!! Now back to the original entry: You know white supremacy has been in the news an awful lot lately. The Alt Right especially – you know the guys who show up to rallies in khakis and white collared shirts carrying tiki torches as opposed to their dads who show up to rallies in full KKK gear burning crosses. And by the way – the alt right are your fun loving racists, as evidenced by these douchebags at Kent State who were trying to make a statement about safe spaces by openly wearing diapers and playing in cribs, because, you know “safe spaces are for children”! but they failed!

Now just remember this Kent State Republicans – we’re laughing *AT* you, not *WITH* you. Well this week, the reigning king of the Alt Right and guy who complained to Bethesda that the new Wolfenstein game features too much Nazi killing, Richard Spencer, went to Florida. And this happened:

(CNN)Protesters greeted white supremacist leader Richard Spencer with loud boos and chants of "Go home Spencer" during his speech Thursday afternoon at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
The talk was Spencer's first planned speech on a college campus since he and others participated in the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August.
With an intensive police presence, protesters chanted, "We don't want your Nazi hate" and "Nazi scum off our streets." The anti-Spencer protesters, who vastly outnumbered the supporters, carried signs against fascism, neo-Nazis and white supremacy.

Spencer took the stage at the Phillips Center at just after 2:45 p.m. Those in the venue, many of whom stood with their fists raised, loudly booed and chanted lines like "Go home Spencer" and "Nazis are not welcome here."
http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/19/us/university-florida-richard-spencer-speech/index.html

Here’s the thing – you know when you say “I’m not racist, but…” then you follow it up with something horribly racist, guess what? You’re a racist! And by the way – you know how they always say that you can judge a person by the company they keep? Well, would you be surprised to learn that guys with guns were outside talking about the forthcoming race war? Really, these dipshits have about as much credibility of starting a war as Cartman does.

Five arrests were made Thursday in connection with an event that self-described white supremacist Richard Spencer held at the University of Florida campus in Gainesville.

Three men were arrested for their alleged role in a shooting incident following Spencer's speech, according to the Gainesville Police Department. The three suspects "engaged in an argument with another group of people that turned violent with gunfire," police said in a press release today.

The three individuals -- Tyler Tenbrink, 28, William Fears, 30, and Colton Fears, 28 -- are all from Texas, according to police.

The police report for Tenbrink states that while in a car, the suspects pulled up to the victims and one of the three men shouted "Hail Hitler and other chants" before "an argument ensued." According to police, Tenbrink got out of the vehicle with a handgun and threatened to kill the victims, while the two other men encouraged him to shoot them. Polie said Tenbrink fired a single shot that "thankfully missed the group" and hit a nearby building.

No… no race war. Especially when the white supremacists firing guns missed all of their targets. Really, these guys have the aim of Stormtroopers. Oh and guess what? Richard Spencer already comments that he will keep returning to Charlottesville, because, reasons.

“We will be back again… and again, and again.”

White nationalist Richard Spencer has brought a trio of torch rallies to Charlottesville. Now, he says plan on seeing even more.

Spencer knows the law and how to use it to get what he wants. We saw that on Saturday, October 7, when he led a torch march to Emancipation Park, knowing the city’s top prosecutor couldn't do a thing about it.

In a rare interview he spoke one-on-one with NBC29's Henry Graff about race, monuments, and Charlottesville. Spencer says history chose Charlottesville. For him, going to the University of Virginia and living here after graduation were also factors.

And Richard Spencer really knows his audience doesn’t he? You know the right wing has been trying like mad to target universities in the last 20 years because they hate liberals so much. And then there’s this douchebag at Virginia Tech:

A graduate student and teaching instructor at Virginia Tech has been discovered to be an avowed white supremacist, but university officials have yet to take any action to dismiss him.

Mark Neuhoff, who teaches English composition at the university part-time, was discovered in late September to have posted a series of racist comments on social media. “I want white supremacy,” one post read. “Whites must be in control if we are to preserve western culture. Categorically, no other race can do it.”

A group calling itself New River Valley Against Fascism obtained screenshots of Neuhoff’s social media posts and published them in a September 26 blog post. They include multiple comments about Holocaust denial, as well as one post about how Neuhoff managed to get himself banned from the infamous neo-Nazi site Stormfront for talking about the importance of having free speech in a White Nationalist society.

When asked by the Roanoke Times to explain the posts, Neuhoff said that they were an “accurate reflection of my personal beliefs.” “All of the posts are private for a specific audience who knows and understands who I am,” Neuhoff said. “What I was doing with my posts was trying to redefine the term that is destructive and shuts someone down — white supremacist.”

That one is pretty fitting! Well, getting back to the Alt Right – they crazy. But there are ways to counter said crazy. Take a look at what the Alligator Brewing Company – based in Gainsville, was offering to help combat Richard Spencer:

Richard Spencer, "alt-right" leader and hatemonger who just can't seem to stop getting punched, is scheduled to give a speech at the University of Florida in Gainesville on Thursday. The University accepted his request on threat of lawsuit, but its president has condemned Spencer's "message of hate and racism" and asked students to stay away. Florida governor Rick Scott has declared a state of emergency in the university's county and activated the National Guard. Students and Gainesville residents have formed a group called No Nazis at UF, some of whom marched on a campus administrative building to protest.

There have been smaller protests, too. Alligator Brewing, a tiny brewery in Gainesville, has stepped up to mount its own protest to Spencer by promising that any UF students who get tickets his appearance can exchange them for a draft beer at Alligator. Alligator, in return, will dispose of the tickets so they can't be used.

“We unfortunately can’t stop him from bringing his hate to Gainesville,” the brewery posted on Facebook and Instagram. “But we can empty the room so his disgusting message goes unheard.”
http://www.esquire.com/food-drink/a13043400/alligator-brewing-protest-richard-spencer/

That was a great idea guys! Can we show that?

And would you be surprised to learn that Richard Spencer’s fans were sending death threats to the employees of Alligator Brewing Company? No? Neither are we! Because you know what sane, rational people Richard Spencer’s people are, and you know only sane, rational people leave death threats, right?

While many are praising the brewery, others are condemning it — the spokesperson said people associated with the Alligator Brewing event have received death threats.

According to the Miami Herald, Spencer’s team has learned of the plan. Instead of allowing community members to get tickets from the university, Spencer’s team will distribute the event tickets themselves, a method designed to “avoid the sabotage,” Cameron Padgett, a Georgia grad student organizing on behalf of Spencer, told the Herald.

The Tall Paul spokesperson declined to comment on specifics when asked whether there would be a change of plans given the new ticket distribution method.

You know if there’s one thing the GOP loves to do it’s beat dead horses. Which is why we’re documenting them in:

This week – we’re going to introduce you to a group calling itself “VDare”. VDare is a product of the Center For American Unity, an organization that promotes white supremacy. In fact the founder of this organization is Peter Brimelow, a guy who wrote a book that is very famous among white supremacists called “Alien Nation”. In case you’re wondering where the name “VDare” comes from – it’s from Virginia Dare, a popular meme among white supremacists, the first white child born in the new world after the first British settlements. So what happened this week when VDare attempted to hold its’ first annual conference?

The Hilton El Conquistador in Tucson, AZ, has canceled plans to host an upcoming “immigration conference” by the white nationalist group VDare. It is the third time this year that VDare has unsuccessfully attempted to schedule a conference.

VDare runs a racist website that’s been heavily criticized by civil rights groups for pushing white nationalism. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the white nationalist site “regularly publishes articles by prominent white nationalists, race scientists and anti-Semites.” The Anti-Defamation League wrote that VDare is a racist site that “posts, promotes, and archives the work of racists, anti-immigrant figures, and anti-Semites.”

Headlines on VDare include: “One Problem With These Hispanic Immigrants Is Their Disgusting Behavior,” “Indians Aren`t That Intelligent (On Average),” “Diversity Is Strength! It’s Also…Hispanic Immigrants Taking Over FBI’s Ten Most Wanted,” “America Does Not Need ANY Immigrants From Africa,” and “Roll Over, JIHAD—There’s Also HIJRA, Muslim Conquest By Immigration.”

VDare is so bad that even the editor in chief for Breitbart privately called it “racist,” according to reporting by BuzzFeed (despite that private condemnation, Breitbart has publicly defended VDare).

I mean come on, when you’re too extreme for Breitbart, that’s pretty fucking extreme! I mean just ask Infowars correspondent and guy who thinks Ethnic Cleansing is just a new product line from Tide, Mike Cernovich! Excuse me a minute… OK I’m good. He held a joint online conference this weekend where many white supremacist ideas were floated about. I can only imagine the conversation they had. “See son, isn’t open, full breasted suit wearing tiki torch racism more fun than your dad’s closeted white hooded, cross burning racism?”. Can we show that tweet?

Boy, Harry Potter really let himself go after he quit Hogwarts, didn’t he? He should have taken that semester abroad in Prague! And the cute hearts totally offset the Nazi flag in the background, don’t they? Because if there’s one thing you associate candy hearts with, it’s institutionalized racism! But here’s what they actually talked about:

Lucian Wintrich, a White House reporter for The Gateway Pundit, and Ali Akbar, who are both political activists among the self-described “New Right” movement, split from prior efforts to sanitize and distance their movement from its affiliations with the racist alt-right movement and featured alt-right troll Matt Colligan on their podcast.

On last night’s episode of their livestream podcast, “Wintrich Report,” which drew many viewers after it was shared by New Right activists such as Mike Cernovich, featured a conversation with Matt Colligan—known online as “Millennial Matt”—in which they discussed differences between the two movements, framing the conversation as a civil exchange of ideas. But in this supposed effort to draw a hard line between the two movements, Akbar, Wintrich and Colligan identified a number of shared beliefs, including that white men have been caricatured as evil by “white fat bitches,” according to Akbar, in the media.

“I have a deep fondness for anyone I think is funny,” Wintrich said, expressing his affinity for Colligan and Tim Gionet, a Twitter personality known as “Baked Alaska” who has repeatedly shared Nazi memes online and also appeared at the racist Unite the Right rally.
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/new-right-activists-pivot-backwards-share-laughs-with-unite-the-right-demonstrator/

Because Nazis are so funny and fun-loving aren’t they? I mean really kid, take a break from the laptop and go out into the real world! But getting back to VDare – this isn’t the first time they attempted to hold a conference:

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - UPDATE (8/16): An anti-immigration organization's planned conference in Colorado Springs next year has been canceled.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort canceled the conference following an outcry from many in the community who said they did not want a white nationalist or white nationalist-sympathetic group coming to Colorado Springs.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort issued a brief statement, but did not give an official reason for the event's cancellation.

"Cheyenne Mountain Resort will not be hosting the VDARE Foundation in April of next year. We remain committed to respecting the privacy of guests at the resort."

Nonetheless, Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers said he was pleased with the resort's decision and speculated why they may have made it.
http://www.kktv.com/content/news/Mayor-Suthers-responds-to-planned-VDARE-conference-in-Colorado-Springs-440537563.html

Hmmmm… a bunch of white supremacists alone in the woods? What could possibly go wrong? And this was back in March! This is where it gets into “dead horse” territory – they attempted a third time to hold a gathering in Yosemite National Park! That’s my state, damn it!

When another article about the conference by liberal research center Media Matters caught the attention of Tenaya Lodge's parent company, Delaware North, the resort moved to cancel the conference. Delaware North tells SFGATE that the hotel regrets the "mistake" of booking them.

"At the time of booking we did not realize this group has values that are in conflict with our embracement of diversity among our employees and guests, including people of different cultures, lifestyles, creeds, nationalities, races and ages," said Glen White, senior manager for Delaware North, in a statement. "We are also concerned that providing meeting space and rooms to this group could be disruptive to our other guests' enjoyment of Tenaya Lodge and the services we provide to those guests."

VDare, however, doesn't view the cancellation as an error, writing on their own site that organizer Lydia Brimelow and her planner were "transparent with Tenaya from the beginning."

"VDARE.com, we informed them, was a politically-oriented site that leaned controversial," Lydia Brimelow wrote. "There would be protestors. We would have security concerns. They should look us up. We repeatedly mentioned that we selected them because of their position on government property and their responsibility thereby to honor freedom of speech and assembly. Tenaya did not disabuse us of this false understanding."
http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Anti-immigration-group-riled-by-Yosemite-resort-s-10883942.php

So that’s three times! Ding ding ding!!! It’s the douchebag jackpot! But you know one group that at least loves them and even VDare doesn’t know what to do with? Women! Yes, even women can be hardcore racists, too!

In a basement conference room in the Ronald Reagan Center in Washington, D.C., on November 19, 2016, following one of the first alt-right press conferences after the 2016 election, F. Roger Devlin (the “F” stands for Francis) took to the stage with a curious tale about Norwegian women. Their “lizard brains,” he said, were causing them to abandon Norwegian men for Pakistani immigrants, causing a crisis in heterosexual relations among Norwegian whites.

It was familiar territory for Devlin. Devlin is not a household name the way other white nationalist leaders like Richard Spencer are, and he certainly lacks the pomp of some of the far-right’s bombastic hangers-on, such as Milo Yiannopoulos. Yet the self-described “independent scholar” is a major voice on the alt-right, and has been critical in shaping the movement’s understanding of gender, marriage, and the place of white women among its ranks. He is a longtime contributor to far-right publications including The Occidental Quarterly, VDARE, and Counter-Currents. Like many on the intellectual wing of the alt-right, he has mainstream credentials, namely a doctorate in political philosophy from Tulane. But as his work veered right, he began to fancy himself a dissident. In light of the rise in mainstream media attention toward the alt-right movement and women’s role in it, Devlin’s work sheds a great deal of light on a question of what today’s white nationalists think of women’s place in society.

Trump V. Corker: The Bleeda In Reseda
[br]
[br]

You know I may have to do a “Lost Entries” edition of the Top 10 when we take our winter break because we have way too many of them. I had a much different entry planned for this edition but I didn’t like the entry. So we got to talk about the Trump V. Corker feud because it’s too damn good, and it’s costing Trump supporters. And that’s a scary thought when you consider that this is happening right now and it’s about to turn states upside down:

Extreme far-right groups across the world have united under the same banner and are actively collaborating to help influence elections and intimidate political opponents, according to a new study by the Institute of Strategic Dialogue (ISD) — and current efforts to disrupt them are lagging far behind.

The report details how far-right activists have broken through divides that for years kept them spread out, disconnected, and distrustful of each other. Now, the internet has allowed far-right groups to “actively seek to overcome ideological and geographic differences for the sake of expanding their influence, reach and impact.” A key part of that impact is coordinated grassroots activities and the weaponization of internet culture, which allows the far-right to “bring about attitude and behavioral change, in particular among the younger generations.”

One example of that international collaboration occurred earlier this year, when supporters across Europe and and the United States crowdfunded $200,000 to help far-right activists charter a 422-ton boat meant to disrupt the rescue of migrants in the Mediterranean. Donations came from France, Germany, the United States, the U.K., Italy and several other countries, and showed how “groups and individuals are prepared to put aside ideological differences… and instead focus on commonality.”

The report also noted how the far-right was using sophisticated media disruption strategies gleaned from military playbooks.

https://thinkprogress.org/report-far-right-intelligence-handbook-d37f1b7af86d/

And that this is also happening:

Former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon took a victory lap Tuesday after Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) announced he would retire at the end of his term.

Bannon, the Breitbart News chairman who is recruiting primary challengers to GOP incumbents, claimed credit for Flake’s decision not to seek reelection, according to Breitbart’s editor in chief Alex Marlow.

<snip>

Bannon has vowed to recruit primary challengers to all Republican incumbents with the exception of Sen. Ted. Cruz (R-Texas). Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), who similarly lashed out at Trump on Tuesday, likely would have attracted a Bannon-backed challenger had he not decided to retire after 2018.

Others reportedly in Bannon's crosshairs include Sens. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) and John Barrasso
http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/356959-bannon-our-movement-will-defeat-you-in-primaries-or-force-you-to-retire

Yeah BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! So replace a far right regime with an even further right regime? One that delves heavily into Nazi territory? Oh and in case you’re wondering about that, Bannon’s BFF, Milo Yiannopolous, lost a key supporter this week:

Something had set Lane Davis off, but that wasn’t unusual.

It was a clear summer afternoon on July 14, on Samish Island—a small, idyllic community off the northwest coast of Washington state—where Lane, a balding, bearded, Donald Trump-supporting conspiracy theorist and prolific YouTuber and Redditor, known online as Seattle4Truth, lived with his parents.

Lane had spent that Friday morning as he did most mornings, on the internet. This day, like the others, Lane read and retweeted posts celebrating the Second Amendment, bemoaning diversity, and spreading conspiracy theories that alleged Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta was involved in a child sex ring and DNC staffer Seth Rich had been murdered. It was the end of a busy week during which he contributed to the Donald Trump subreddit, and over on The Ralph Retort, a fringe blog where he worked as a political editor, (unpaid, according to the site’s owner), he had celebrated the idea of a Kid Rock Senate run, claimed America was under threat of Sharia law, and wondered whether CNN was “literally ISIS.”

Lane’s parents, Catherine and Charles Davis—Charles was known as Chuck to his friends— were used to their 33-year-old son’s outbursts. They had become so frequent that Charles had started recording the tirades on his phone. But that afternoon, they were tired of Lane’s screaming, wanted him to leave, and told him as much. Instead, Lane chased his parents around their home, spitting in his father’s face while screaming that he wasn’t threatening to kill them, but “pedophiles who were taking over the country.”

Seriously – how many more stories are we going to read about Trump supporters being criminals before we say enough is enough? They should all lose their voting privileges. But that can’t be good for anybody! And fuck you Bannon, you should be in a federal prison instead of on the campaign trail. I mean is it me or does Steve Bannon look like he should be on a registered sex offender list somewhere? Yeah. So Jeff Flake quit, and Trump won’t stop poking Bob Corker. That sounded wrong didn’t it?

President Donald Trump engaged in another feud Tuesday with Sen. Bob Corker, a Republican who has turned into one of the president's chief critics. The latest exchange came hours before the president was set to attend a GOP policy lunch on tax reform.

"Bob Corker, who helped President O give us the bad Iran Deal & couldn't get elected dog catcher in Tennessee, is now fighting Tax Cuts," Trump tweeted, apparently in response to an interview Corker participated in earlier Tuesday on "Good Morning America."

"Corker dropped out of the race in Tennesse when I refused to endorse him, and now is only negative on anything Trump. Look at his record!" he added.

The Tennessee Republican hit back on Twitter, writing: "Same untruths from an utterly untruthful president. #AlertTheDaycareStaff."
http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-bob-corker-tax-reform-tweets-2017-10

Can we throw that tweet up there?

You know what this is like? It’s like Trump thinks he’s Robin Hood, and Bob Corker is Liddle Bob. So it’s almost kind of like we’re watching The New Adventures Of Robin Hood And Liddle Bob! Thank you! I mean could it get any worse? Well the feud got so bad that this happened:

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis brought popcorn to a lunch meeting with top Senate Republicans and President Donald Trump on Tuesday, poking fun at the escalating feud between Sen. Bob Corker and Trump.

During an appearance on Fox Business Network on Tuesday, Tillis said he would bring popcorn to the meeting, and he followed through with the stunt, tweeting out photos of himself filling a bag from a Senate popcorn machine.

Donald Trump
[br]
[br]

If there’s one thing President Dotard Trump is known for, it’s sympathy. And empathy. Well, judging by the way he treated the shooting victims of Las Vegas. Or by the way he treated the flood victims of Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Or by the way he treated the fire victims of California. My browser is giving me a 404 – file not found error on that one. But even worse than the way Trump treats disaster victims is the way he treated the victims of a base attack in Niger. We talked about this quite a bit last week, but the funerals were this week. But what was their excuse?

The death of four U.S. Special Operations Forces troops in Niger has generated a raucous conversation about how presidents should comfort bereft Gold Star families.

But, quietly, it’s fueling a more difficult debate than whether a phone call or a letter suffices in the aftermath of tragedy; mainly, why were U.S. troops in the country in the first place, and does Congress need to exert more authority when it comes such deployments?

Many lawmakers assiduously duck these questions. But on the Sunday shows, several were forced to address them in the aftermath of four soldiers dying under still-mysterious circumstances near the small town of Tongo Tongo. In the process, two powerful Senators tacitly admitted that they hadn’t even known the extent of U.S. involvement in Niger in the first place.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), one of the chamber’s most hawkish members, told host Chuck Todd on Meet the Press that he didn’t know until recently that a thousand U.S. troops are stationed in Niger.

Yeah that’s why you don’t elect a bunch of incompetent buffoons who have the backing of a batshit insane news network to the highest levels of government – even worse when their president is one of these incompetent buffoons!

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump on Monday disputed a widow's account of a condolence call he made to her following the death of her husband in Niger earlier this month.
Trump tweeted shortly after Myeshia Johnson, the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, discussed her disappointment with the call on "Good Morning America" Monday morning, saying the President stumbled on her husband's name and suggesting the only reason he knew it was because the report was right in front of him.
"I had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!" Trump tweeted.

So what’s the difference between Niger and Benghazi? Really the only difference is that a black guy was in charge when Benghazi happened. Too soon? But maybe it’s not.

WASHINGTON -- Lawmakers on Capitol Hill were still searching for answers Tuesday morning about the deaths of four American soldiers in Niger.

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Joseph Dunford said Monday that U.S. troops waited an hour after the ambush began to call for help. He said it took an additional 60 minutes for French air power to arrive on the scene, but by then it was too late for the four Americans.

CBS News' Major Garrett reports that from President Donald Trump's earliest days in office, he has urged field commanders to carry out more counter-terrorism operations, all the while promising minimum second-guessing from Washington.

Yeah go ahead and smirk, jackass. Any other president this would have been an impeachable offense, but not Trump! Shit, and they called Reagan the “Teflon President”.

The widow of Sgt La David Johnson, speaking publicly for the first time on Monday about a condolence call from Donald Trump that became a national controversy, said the conversation “made me cry even worse”.

She also said Trump forgot the name of her husband, one of four US soldiers killed in Niger this month. Trump countered that claim with a tweet, saying he “spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!”

Trump was also the target of criticism this weekend from one of the country’s best-known military veterans, the Republican senator and Vietnam war hero John McCain.

Although we’re hoping that the Niger scandal could spell the worst for Trump. But it’s highly unlikely given that the GOP controls the house and the senate, for now. But this could be just the beginning:

Dozens more militants have reportedly crossed the border from Mali into Niger to carry out another ambush on Nigerien troops, not quite three weeks after the mysterious ambush that led to the deaths of four U.S. Special Forces troops. Nearly every American official connected to the deaths of the Green Berets is still struggling to explain exactly what happened.

"I didn't know there was 1,000 troops in Niger," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told NBC's Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press" Sunday. Graham, who serves on the Senate Committee on Armed Services, said the Pentagon is "going to brief us next week as to why they were there and what they were doing."

In his most striking admission, the veteran Republican senator added, "We don't know exactly where we're at in the world, militarily, and what we're doing.”

Details of what happened on Oct. 4 in Niger, a large, landlocked and predominantly Muslim nation in West Africa with a population of about 21 million, remain murky. Trump administration officials have largely focused on an increasingly fractious exchange with the family of Sgt. La David Johnson, one of the fallen soldiers, following more than a week of radio silence about the attack.

This has been quite the month for the White Male Pussy Grabber’s Club. If you’re keeping score at home let’s go over the timeline. First Harvey Weinstein is finally brought down after years of abuse, and the stories keep coming. Next – the popular Youtube channel Screen Junkies fired one of its’ founding members Andy Signore – the guy who does the voice of “Honest Trailers” - after years of abuse. Then just this week, director James Toback got taken down after years of abuse. *AND* this week - Marilyn Manson fired his longtime guitarist Twiggy Ramirez after years of abuse, and rape allegations surfaced with former president George HW Bush! I mean holy shit!!! And now there’s Barstool Sports. As a beer drinker, I knew about Barstool Sports but was never a fan of their blog. Think of it like Jimmy Kimmel’s old “The Man Show”, but with more misogyny and more blackout drinking and add a dose of underage drinking. So this week here’s what happened:

ESPN’s newest marriage barely lasted one show.

ESPN President John Skipper announced Monday he was canceling the show “Barstool Van Talk,” the offshoot of Barstool Sports’ popular podcast, “Pardon My Take,” to which the network had given a spot on TV.

Last Monday, a day before co-hosts Dan “Big Cat” Katz and PFT Commenter made their ESPN2 debut in what was supposed to be a weekly 1 a.m. ET slot, controversy erupted over Barstool’s past, notably comments about ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” host Samantha Ponder.

“Effective immediately, I am cancelling ‘Barstool Van Talk,'” Skipper said in a statement. “While we had approval on the content of the show, I erred in assuming we could distance our efforts from the Barstool site and its conten
http://nypost.com/2017/10/23/espn-cancels-new-barstool-sports-partnership/

Now let’s do one of those things from the TV shows that show how we got to this point. How did we get to this point, you may ask? Well, not even a week before the first episode of “Barstool Van Sports” aired, this story broke:

This afternoon, former Fox Sports college football host Elika Sadeghi told a story about how she recently walked away from a job offer from a sports media company because it asked her to sign an agreement acknowledging that she would willingly work in an environment where she might be exposed to “nudity, sexual scenarios, racial epithets, suggestive gestures, profanity and references to stereotypes.”

Though Sadeghi redacted the name of the company in her tweet, Ryan Glasspiegel of The Big Lead later confirmed that the document in question was created by Barstool Sports. Shortly before Glasspiegel’s tweet, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy published a video confirming that the site did try to hire Sadeghi, and that it recently started asking employees to sign contracts containing that particular clause:
https://deadspin.com/barstool-sports-asked-potential-employee-to-sign-away-h-1819375626

http://memeshappen.com/download.php?memeid=1827

You know I wonder what it must be like when you’re an attorney and you have to come up with various scenarios as to not get sued? I would love to hear those proceedings! But you know here’s the thing – ESPN wanted Barstool Sports but it seems they didn’t do the research. It’s kind of like when a baseball team signs a player for an obscene contract but doesn’t do the research to find out what a loose cannon the guy is.

This week, ESPN premiered a new show on ESPN 2 called Barstool Van Talk, hosted by Barstool Sports personalities and Pardon My Take podcast co-hosts PFT Commenter and Dan Katz. According to sources familiar with the situation, ESPN originally did not want the Barstool Sports name and logo associated with the new show, but caved after Barstool president Dave Portnoy insisted on the branding.

Given that Barstool largely built its audience by publishing openly and aggressively misogynistic and otherwise offensive blog posts, and given that Portnoy remains a source of such content, it’s understandable that ESPN may have preferred to distance themselves from the brand, even as they crave its demographic reach. It’s also laughably predictable that ESPN would give in on this point, intent as they are to seem cool, or subversive, or whatever it is the dang kids are into these days. (ESPN declined to comment for this story.) It’s even less surprising that Portnoy, desperate to stay relevant as Barstool has begun to outgrow him, would be adamant about slapping the signature tag on his company’s biggest success. (Barstool CEO Erika Nardini didn’t respond to multiple email requests for comment from the company or Portnoy.)

Yeah seriously – fucking Google that shit! I mean all it takes is a 5 minute search to know how toxic these guys are, that there have been multiple complaints of harassment, underage drinking, rape and assault… what are these guys hiding? Well, a lot of possible pussy grabbing for one thing! Bringing this back around full circle, guess what founder Dave Portnoy said about Harvey Weinstein?

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, a guy who once took great pleasure in calling women “cunts,” posed a question to one of his female subordinates live on the radio. The question was: Actually, should Harvey Weinstein be allowed to demand sex from actresses in exchange for roles in movies? Get ready to listen to the world’s dumbest conversation:

Francesca Mariano, the woman to whom the question was posed, told Portnoy that no, she did not think it would be okay for a boss to suggest sex in exchange for advancing a subordinate’s career. Portnoy asked if Weinstein demanding sex in exchange for $1 million was appropriate; that led to a brief digression in which Portnoy, Mariano, and Barstool Radio host Kevin Clancy discussed the merits of legal prostitution.

The conversation returned to Weinstein, at which point Portnoy, who is in charge of a lot of employees at the company he created, attempted to explain how the Hollywood producer may have justified years worth of sexual assault and harassment in his own mind:
https://deadspin.com/barstool-sports-founder-asks-if-harvey-weinstein-should-1819516366

Yeah. Google that shit! I mean you don’t go buy a fucking blender from Amazon without reading the 1 star reviews to find out the product has terrible refunds first, right? Because if you had done the research, you would have found this feud between Barstool Sports and cyclists!

A sports blogger known for his trolling antics called for the murder of cyclists on a SiriusXM radio show last week, provoking a response from some of the cycling community’s social-media personalities.

The situation began when Andy Suter, of the edgy but small bike blog Drunk Cyclist, found a 2-year-old post on Barstool Sports, an edgy but enormously popular sports and lifestyle blog, “during a deep, downward spiral into the bowels of the internet.”
Bicycling Newsletter

In 2015, Barstool’s John Feitelberg wrote, “If you’re in my way while I’m trying to get to or from work, then I’m running you over. I don’t care if you’re keeping in shape or saving the environment, you’re dead.”
https://www.bicycling.com/culture/why-cyclists-went-to-war-with-barstool-sports

Yeah BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Holy fuck! Dude, when does it blur the line from comedy into attempted murder? I’m doing a deep dive on this because I didn’t know the extent of the damage these guys were doing. But the feud between ESPN and Barstool isn’t over. Oh no! it’s just beginning!

ESPN’s decision to cancel “Barstool Van Talk” did little to damage Barstool Sports president David Portnoy’s confidence.

It had the opposite effect.

Portnoy responded to ESPN president John Skipper’s Monday announcement, which revealed the network was removing the show’s weekly TV spot less than a week after its debut, with an eight-minute faux-press conference on Twitter.

In it, the 40-year-old Barstool founder argued ESPN’s change of heart served as an example of the sports companies’ distinct trajectories: an unstable ESPN appears to be floundering, while a consistently offending Barstool is thriving, according to Portnoy.

*Church organ begins playing* Yes, friends! Gather around friends! Pass the collection plate, friends!!! Yay, in this most uncertain of times, we often look to the holiest among us. But even then we are reminded that the holiest among us are full of…

Yay, my sons and daughters. Welcome to this most holiest of ceremonies. Because this is when we take a look at thine idiocy surrounding thine Christian right. Yay, I realize I sayeth the word “thine” too much. But who is first on our holiest of journeys this week? Well there's this author who claims that Trump is part of GAWD's plan!

Stephen Strang, whose Charisma media empire relentlessly promoted Donald Trump’s campaign by featuring the voices of those who declared Trump anointed by God, is now relentlessly promoting Strang’s upcoming book, “God and Donald Trump.” A promotional video says the book “explores President Trump’s miraculous victory and what it means for the future of our republic.”

The book won’t be officially out until November 7, but Charisma and its public relations firm Hamilton Strategies have been sending frequent promotional emails for the book since the summer, and promoting it through press releases in the form of articles on the Charisma magazine site.

Charisma has been using current events—such as Trump’s response to hurricane victims and the shooting in Las Vegas and his actions to undermine the Affordable Care Act—as opportunities to praise the president and promote what will clearly be an unabashedly adoring portrayal of Trump.
www.rightwingwatch.org/post/charisma-relentlessly-promoting-god-and-trump-which-depicts-trumps-election-as-miracle/

If Trump is part of the plan the LORD OUR GOD has in store, I would hate to see the DEVIL'S PLAN!!! Well, it takes a con artist to know a con artist as Jim Bakker praiseth Trump in the unholiest of ways!

End Times prepper pastor Jim Bakker said on his television program today that “unsaved people are going insane” because they can’t handle the fact that President Trump honors God.

“Unsaved people are going insane,” he said. “They can’t take it. They can’t believe that a person was elected to the presidency that honored God, that wants to keep the cross on top of your church and Jesus in your heart.”

Bakker said that while Trump “wants to stop killing the babies,” his opponents are fighting to keep abortion legal despite the fact that “this is one of the main reasons … judgment finally came to America.”

“Everybody is for abortion that is still alive,” Bakker said, before quietly admitting, “I don’t know what that means.”
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/jim-bakker-unsaved-people-are-going-insane-because-of-trumps-love-of-god/

Nexteth on thine plate, we have Rick Wiles – you know the end times conspiracy theorist who we’ve profiled extensively in this segment. Well, this week, he is back, and he has an insane theory about the Vegas shooting that you cannot miss.

End Times broadcaster Rick Wiles continues to insist that the recent massacre in Las Vegas was carried out a top secret death squad controlled by a secret world government that is “a gay/lesbian Nazi regime.”

Wiles said on his “TruNews” radio program on Thursday that the reason Jesus Campos, the Mandalay Bay security guard who first encountered the shooter, appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show is because she is a lesbian.

“I stand by my claim that this country has death squads,” he said. “We have death squads in this country and it’s being run by a super secret agency, but there is participation at the state and local level.”
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/rick-wiles-las-vegas-massacre-was-carried-out-by-a-gaylesbian-nazi-regime/

Yay, you saveth many troubles, young son Rick! For this is so utterly stupid I can’t thinketh of thine response! Well, you know that movie “Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels”? The Vegas tragedy can be remembered as “Lock, Bump Stocks, And Many Smoking Barrels!”. Thank you! As if that wasn’t enough – we now move on to the touchy subject of sexual harassment in thine workplace. You heard what I said, my sons and daughters. Yay, in the wake of demon spawn Harvey Weinstein, the religious right is crazy and offering their own theories. I give you Tony Perkins:

Tony Perkins, radio host and president of the anti-LGBTQ hate group Family Research Council, blamed the military’s acceptance of gay and transgender service members for creating “moral confusion” that cost a two-star general his job.

During yesterday’s episode of “Washington Watch,” Perkins commented on a USA Today report that a two-star Army general had been fired after an investigation revealed he had sent inappropriate “sexy” text messages to the wife of a soldier. Naturally, Perkins used the story to continue pushing his anti-LGBTQ agenda.

“I think this is wrong, but who says it’s wrong? The military code of conduct? True, but that also said that homosexuality is wrong, but that prohibition is no longer being enforced. In fact, people are punished for not celebrating homosexuality,” Perkins said. “Same was true of transgenderism.”
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/tony-perkins-says-lgbtq-people-in-the-military-creates-moral-confusion-that-makes-men-harass-women/

Yay, that implieth thine facepalm. Thine women who liketh thine bosom and inviteth thine males apparently have no one to blame but thine selves! But it gets stupider, my fair audience! There’s this guy who apparently has no idea how the movie industry works, and is quite literally talking out of thine asshole:

Right-wing pastor Rodney Howard-Browne, who laid hands upon and prayed over President Trump in the Oval Office earlier this year, is a radical conspiracy theorist, a characteristic that was on full display during a sermon he delivered at his church in Florida on Sunday morning.

During the service, Howard-Browne lashed out at Eminem for the attack he delivered against President Trump during a recent awards show, saying that the rapper “tries to think he is from the hood” before declaring that Hollywood and government leaders regularly engage in cannibalism, pedophilia and child sacrifice.

“Give me a break,” Howard-Browne said of Eminem. “A pasty white boy trying to act like he is from the hood. He doesn’t even know what the hood looks like. He’s made money off the hood but he’s about to get put on a hood” because “enough is enough. They’ve mocked the body of Christ for too long, an army of men and women is rising up in this hour. God is answering our prayer, He will not be mocked.”
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/rodney-howard-browne-who-prayed-over-trump-says-hollywood-is-rife-with-human-sacrifice-and-cannibalism/

God will not be mocked? Wait until he gets a hold of this show! Thank you! Of course that’s what they want you to think, Rodney! But do they??? Well they apparently twisteth thine own statements into pure gibberish because apparently they not have any understanding of thine first amendment:

The First Amendment was written only to restrain the actions of Congress, as its first words clearly state: “CONGRESS shall make no law…” Only Congress can violate the First Amendment’s establishment clause, and the only way Congress can do that is by passing a LAW that designates one Christian denomination as the official church of the nation and ordering people to give money to it.

If Congress doesn’t do that, it can do anything else it wants when it comes to religious expression.

Not only is Congress the only entity that can possibly violate the Establishment clause, it is also the only entity that can even possibly violate the Free Exercise clause. That clause flatly forbids CONGRESS (and by extension, the entire federal government) from “prohibiting the free exercise” of religion. This restriction applies to every branch of the federal government. The executive branch is not allowed to prohibit the free exercise of religion in any way and neither is the judicial branch.
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/bryan-fischers-understanding-of-the-first-amendment-fluctuates-to-suit-his-needs/

Yes, even the LORD!!! THY GOD!!! Beith totally speechless on this one!! Seriously, Bryan, go bloweth it out thine asshole! Thank you! But these people couldn’t be any more disgusting, as evidenced by the hate group called “MassResistance” which wants to gross people out with a graphic novel that puts the emphasis on “graphic”:

MassResistance, a vehemently anti-LGBTQ group, has published a nearly 600-page tome called “The Health Hazards of Homosexuality: What the Medical and Psychological Research Reveals,” which it promoted and sold at last weekend’s Values Voter Summit. In the foreword, MassResistance leader Brian Camenker calls it “a unique resource on an untouchable subject.”

In 2015, Camenker spoke at an anti-gay gathering and said that conservative Christians need to view the fight against the LGBTQ movement “as a war, not a church service.” God, he said, has a “very brutal” set of rules “for people who want to tear down society, who want to push immorality, who want to tear down the moral structure of society”: they “must be destroyed.”

In the new book, Camenker is clear that he views it as a political weapon in his war against homosexuality: “We hope that the information in this book will encourage our society to take a step back, understand what the normalization of homosexuality has brought in its wake, and reconsider the course we’re on.”
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/massresistance-wants-to-gross-america-out-with-book-about-gay-sex/

Now you may have heard about all the news about Bill O'Reilly's insane settlement. And he has no one to blame but thyself. And now there's this theory coming from Carl Gallups - who takes the GOP art of victim blaming to a whole new level:

Carl Gallups, a right-wing pastor and conspiracy theorist who spoke at Trump campaign rallies during the 2016 election, spent a portion of his radio program on Friday discussing the idea that women are “sexually assaulting” men by dressing in a provocative manner.

Gallups interviewed Mike Shoesmith, who recently wrote a piece in response to the Hollywood sexual assault scandals arguing that women who wear “sexually suggestive clothing around a man” are legally guilty of sexual assault. While Gallups and Shoesmith repeatedly made clear that they were not excusing or condoning sexual assault against women in any way, they were nevertheless outraged that women are allowed to torment men by “walking around in their little sister’s skirt.”

“Men are visually stimulated and unwanted stimulation should meet the basic definition of assault,” Shoesmith said, asserting that women who dress in a suggestive manner are “guilty of indecent visual assault on a man’s imagination, which does cause mental anguish and torment.”
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/trump-allied-pastor-carl-gallups-says-women-are-sexually-assaulting-men-by-dressing-provocatively/

Yeah BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Something tells me Pastor Carl might have a sex crime investigation or two in his near future. But if you’re Bill O’Reilly on the other hand, he’s apparently mad at GAWD!!!! For allowing him to commit thine sexual harassment.

Bill O'Reilly has repeatedly blamed reports of sexual misconduct on a politically motivated media. On Monday, he admitted that he also blames a higher power.

"You know, am I mad at God? Yeah, I'm mad at him," O'Reilly said on the latest episode of his web series, "No Spin News." "I wish I had more protection. I wish this stuff didn't happen. I can't explain it to you. Yeah, I'm mad at him."

He then said that he derives perspective from the tribulations of others, including Kate Steinle, a woman who was allegedly shot by an undocumented immigrant who has been the subject of numerous O'Reilly commentaries.

O'Reilly's response to allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior has been consistent. He's emphatically denied the claims, insisting that his wealth and fame make him a target for such accusations. And he's denounced the press that has reported on the allegations -- and the ensuing settlements -- as corrupt and desperate to take him down.

Now Bill, GAWD did not make you grabeth thine pussy and pay $32 milliion, that was on you, my son! Yay, mass has ended. May you go in peace! That is it for this week in:

Alex Jones

[br]

Sigh… you want to know why we can’t have nice things. There’s batshit crazy, and then there’s Infowars, which takes it to a whole new level. And this week he might have sunk to a new all time low, even for him. So when it comes to Alex and children – let’s recap before we get into his latest insanity. He spread false information about a child sex ring running underneath a Washington DC pizza parlor which led to a man shooting up said pizza parlor, putting many people’s lives in jeopardy. He also spread false information about NASA kidnapping children for a colony on Mars. And his own wife said that she was afraid for the safety of her and her children during their divorce trial. That said, here’s how he went off the rails this week. Not that it’s hard for him to do.

Yesterday, the Infowars network floated conspiracy theories about a liberal plot to use drag queens reading books to children in order to “sexualize” them, leading Infowars host Alex Jones to suffer a complete breakdown and nearly throw his chair across his desk into his camera operators.

Yesterday, in the latter half of “The Alex Jones Show,” Jones made numerous allegations that a series of events where drag queens read books to children at public libraries had sinister intentions. By the end of his rant, Jones became completely unhinged and began claiming that the drag queens “have their way with children” in “space alien” and “demon goblin” outfits, even roping in baby giraffes.

Jones led in, “Imagine if someone in a demon outfit,” referring to drag costumes, “showed up next to a baby giraffe and said, ‘Hi, I’m a demon. Be inclusive. Don’t be mean to me. Let me wear demon horns and come up and look like a complete alien from another planet.’”

“They dress up like space aliens all over the United States of America and all over the world,” Jones said of drag queens, “in horrible demon psychopath outfits that make Pennywise look beautiful. And they show up and they have their way with children, in demon outfits. I mean, if you’ve got men that look like 400-pound goblin demons with your children, there’s nothing you won’t put up with.”
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/alex-jones-loses-it-over-drag-queens-reading-books-to-children/

You know what? Let’s show the video from this – it’s quite exquisite:

Dude, he’s losing it big time. Has he ever seen drag queens in person? I have! And guess what? They’re not bad people! Oh and in case you couldn’t help but wonder if Alex Jones has ever sunk further into the realm of Idiocracy, wait until you hear his spin on… well… his spin.

Alex Jones, the conspiracy theorist shock-jock who heads the outlet Infowars, claimed today that his media operation never knowingly spreads false information and blamed any instances in which it does on mainstream media operatives who flood the internet with fake news stories.

Jones was leading into a story about YouTube’s decision to de-list a video uploaded by Infowars editor-at-large Paul Joseph Watson when he went off on a tangent in which he claimed larger forces governing the media publish massive amounts of fake news stories to try to trick Infowars into running fake stories.

“They’ll try to flood the internet with other fake news and hope we pick it up and report it to try to discredit us. But the point is we’re not ever trying to do that on purpose. And when we do it, we’ll tell you about it,” Jones said.
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/alex-jones-claims-infowars-never-knowingly-reports-false-information/

I guess that all meat diet must be going to his head! Or it could be he’s overdosing on products from the Infowars store again? After all this was revealed this week:

“If we want to defeat the globalists,” says Alex Jones in an Infowars video published last year, “we have to understand they’re using medical tyranny against us. But to get us into that globalist-controlled system, they want to make us unhealthy.” He cites fluoridated water, modified crops and cancers deployed as a form of government control.

“We are all under attack,” Jones says, so seriously that one might actually believe him.

Jones may be just the latest in a long line of snake oil salesmen in American history, a carnival barker with magic tonic to sell. His ingenuity lies in combining anti-government conspiracy theory with a robust supplement-selling operation. The Infowars store—“a one-stop shop for the modern conspiracy theorist,” as Charlie Warzel of BuzzFeed once called it—is sort of like the Vitamin Shoppe remodeled by someone who, well, listens a little too closely to Alex Jones. You can find Wake Up America! Coffee (“Patriot Blend”) for the decidedly non-populist price of $17.95 per pound and organic frankincense oil ($19.95), whose “warm and spicy smell” is sure to fend off the New World Order.

But not all of Jones’s offerings are quite as harmless as essential oils or arabica beans. In fact, new research commissioned by the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) has determined that two products sold by Jones contain potentially dangerous levels of the heavy metal lead, which is universally known to be harmful to the body.
http://www.newsweek.com/alex-jones-infowars-supplements-tainted-lead-687019

?w=640

Wow, that one is actually pretty fitting! But guess what? All those heavy metals contain some serious side effects! But before we get to that – here’s the really horrible part about this! It’s not just a little led you ingest when you down a Caveman shake. By the way, never trust anything with the word “Caveman” in it! When you down a Caveman shake, you’re getting a shit load of led!

The most accurate description of the shrieking pageantry we’ve come to know as InfoWars is that it’s a dietary supplement business hiding behind a debased, unreliable, and exhaustingly stupid news network. Unfortunately for its founder Alex Jones, seen above chugging a glass of “Caveman True Paleo Formula,” two of those supplements were recently found to contain high levels of lead.

Besides this Neanderthal Pre-Human Drink Powder, another supplement called Myco-ZX, advertised as “potent herbs and enzymes” intended for the “detoxification of yeast and undesirable fungal organisms,” was also determined to have high levels of lead, according to an independent testing by watchdog group the Center for Environmental Health, the findings of which InfoWars has itself based articles on prior.

According to the CEH, which purchased the samples tested directly from the InfoWars online shop, “People who take the Myco-ZX product would ingest more than six times the daily limit for lead under California law.” Those taking Caveman True Paleo would ingest twice the Californian daily lead limit.
https://gizmodo.com/drink-up-high-lead-levels-found-in-two-infowars-supple-1819630985

Yeah you might want to do that after you drink a Caveman shake, but it may be too late! But that explains a lot about our good friend Alex Jones. In fact these shakes and too much led poisoning have serious side effects!

According to the Mayo Clinic, these are the signs of someone suffering from lead poisoning. Alex Jones exhibits at least three of these symptoms in that one-minute clip above.

— High blood pressure (always)
— Joint and muscle pain
— Difficulties with memory or concentration (he went from talking about Vietnam to gay frogs)
— Headache
— Abdominal pain
— Mood disorders (Alex Jones’ entire existence is a mood disorder)
— Reduced sperm count and abnormal sperm
— Miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth in pregnant women

If you’re taking InfoWars supplements, stop, and rejoin the rest of us in reality. Otherwise, watch that clip up above again, and stare into your red-faced and very confused future.

Yeah too much led may make you do that! But… never fear – Alex Jones has a new BFF! Guess who it is!

Since June, Jones has praised Hannity as “one of the only real journalists left on broadcast and cable television” and happily noted that “the entire evil globalist system that’s anti-human and wants a world where humans are obsolete hates” him. After Hannity called for investigations into high-level officials of the previous administration, Jones said it was “very powerful to see Sean Hannity telling it like it is.” Jones claims that other Fox programming -- with the exception of Lou Dobbs’ Fox Business show -- is part of an anti-Trump conspiracy, saying that at Fox, “only Hannity is still fighting” and calling his show the “pinhole” that is saving Trump from total isolation.

For his part, Hannity sided with Jones after Jones called on NBC to release the full footage of his interview with NBC host Megyn Kelly. According to Jones, Hannity also called him in 2016 to tell him he was doing a “great job” and to say “we appreciate you.”

What seems to please Jones most about Hannity is that Hannity reminds him of himself. In August, Jones announced that “The Sean Hannity Show is now The Alex Jones Show.” And after The Washington Post’s Erik Wemple picked up on parallels between Jones and Hannity, Jones said on his show that “The Washington Post has demonized him saying he’s becoming Alex Jones, that’s good.”

Jones says the reason for the parallels is that both men get their information from the same or similar sources. During his August 21 broadcast, Jones called Hannity “the new Alex Jones” and described supposed meetings between Hannity and unnamed “high level” officials, saying that those officials tell Hannity to listen to what Jones is saying, because Jones knows about “black budget, black ops, globalism, C.O.G.,” referring to continuity of government. Jones has also said that “suddenly Sean Hannity is saying the exact words, the exact facts” that Jones spouts because Hannity gets information from high-level administration officials.

Jenna Jameson

So in case you didn’t notice, this week Playboy made history when they posted pictures of the world’s first transgender playmate. Her name is Ines Rau, and she hails from France. And she’s pretty stunning. We will definitely show some pictures of her. So here’s what happened exactly.

Playboy will feature a transgender Playmate in its November issue, the magazine announced Wednesday.

French model Ines Rau, 26, will be the centerfold in the first issue to publish since Playboy's founder Hugh Hefner died in September.

While many women pose nude in the magazine, there is only one Playmate each month, who is featured as the centerfold. Rau is no stranger to the magazine, and previously posed fully nude in a May 2014 issue.

In a statement, Rau said the 2014 spread was how she celebrated coming out as transgender.

“I lived a long time without saying I was transgender,” Rau said in a statement. “I dated a lot and almost forgot. I was scared of never finding a boyfriend and being seen as weird. Then I was like, 'you know, you should just be who you are. It’s a salvation to speak the truth about yourself, whether it’s your gender, sexuality, whatever.'"

So here’s what she looks like:

Yeah wow. And while Playboy is getting a lot of praise for this move, well there’s one person who won’t have any of it. Yeah there always has to be a party pooper, and Jenna Jameson is one such party pooper who takes anti-trans rhetoric way too seriously.

Jenna Jameson is not happy with Playboy’s choice to feature its first ever transgender Playmate, the French model Ines Rau, in its November issue.

The former adult entertainer told Fox News, “I just think it’s a ridiculous attempt by Playboy to stay relevant. It is a foolish decision that alienates its consumer base.”

We unsuccessfully reached out to Playboy for comment. But Cooper Hefner, the son of late founder Hugh Hefner, told the New York Times: “It’s the right thing to do. We’re at a moment where gender roles are evolving.”

Jameson, 43, took to Twitter to voice her frustration with the legendary men’s entertainment brand.
https://pagesix.com/2017/10/21/jenna-jameson-slams-playboy-for-first-transgender-playmate/

But you know since one of the things we love to do here at the Top 10 is poke holes in people’s arguments, Ms. Jameson claimed that she wasn’t against trans people. But her Twitter profile and online activity suggest otherwise!

Former porn star Jenna Jameson has stripped away any doubts about how she feels about Playboy featuring its first openly transgender Playmate after publicly slamming the magazine’s decision as “ridiculous” and liking a series of transphobic tweets.

Followings news of French model Ines Rau’s upcoming spread in Playboy’s November-December issue, Jameson, a former Playboy cover model who has since turned to webcam porn, railed against transgender people both on Twitter and to Fox News.

“I have a problem with it just like I have a problem with a transgender competing against biological women in sports,” she tweeted Thursday. “I think it’s setting fire to an iconic brand and pandering to this ridiculous PC world we live in.”

<snip>

Despite that claim, her Twitter activity appears to endorse criticism of LGBTQ individuals, with her liking one Tweet that claims “God created a man and woman for a reason” and “Only mentally ill humans would destroy such a great gift.”

<snip>

She also “liked” a tweet that called the display of transgender models a “freak show” as well as one that insisted that “men want to see women, not some faggity little freak seeking attention from anyone.”

People Are Dumb
[br]
[br]

Oh what’s that time? It’s time for this!

So of course by now you know that people are people, and people are dumb. And there’s a lot of stupid fucking people out there. So much that it’s become a regular feature on this program! So who’s stupid this week? Let’s start by going to guess what state? If you guessed Florida, you are correct sir or madam! And it’s one of my favorite types of stupid news stories at that – fast food rage! I do love a good fast food rage story! I mean come on really – you’re buying shitty food at 7-11, a store that’s even beneath the standards of normal fast food. 7-11 – where you can never be too drunk or too high to enjoy a piping hot plate of liquid chemical cheese, and something remotely resembling corn chips for the low low price of $2. And come on, at 2:00 AM, beggars can’t be choosers.

According to a Melbourne Police Department report, customer Stephanie Hicks, 31, threw the nacho cheese and a sandwich at Laflamme after a dispute over the hot cheese dispenser. Laflamme told cops that she had asked Hicks not to open the dispenser, a request that left Hicks irate and resulted in the patron calling the worker “several names.”

When Hicks sought to pay for her food, Laflamme refused her service. Hicks, cops allege, responded by striking Laflamme with the hot nacho cheese and the sandwich.

While waiting for police to respond to the 7-Eleven, Hicks told Laflamme, “The customer is always right.”

Hicks, who complained that the clerk “started to have an attitude with her,” was arrested for misdemeanor battery for “willfully and intentionally throwing hot cheese and a sandwich at Laflamme with the intent to cause her harm.” Seen above, Hicks was booked into the Brevard County jail, from which she was released after a day behind bars.

At least the cafeteria at Faber College has better quality food than 7-11 does! Hey o!!! Staying in Florida – you know… maybe you don’t use Google to search for “how to rob a bank” before you actually rob a bank!!!

Before robbing a bank Thursday morning, a Florida man prepped for the heist by searching Google for instructions on “how to rob a bank,” police report.

Cops charge that William Johnson, 26, made off with about $2000 from the Achieva Credit Union in Largo. According to a criminal complaint, Johnson handed a teller an envelope with the words “give me money, no bait, I have gun” written on it.

By late afternoon, cops had received multiple phone calls identifying Johnson as the bank robber (the sources had seen bank surveillance photos that police had posted to Facebook). Additionally, Johnson’s mother identified him as the man seen in the bank photos.

During questioning, Johnson reportedly confessed to the robbery and copped to the incriminating Google search. Johnson, cops say, revealed that he was plotting a second bank heist, apparently because he had already spent the proceeds from the October 5 robbery on rent, utilities, and narcotics.

So where do we go next? You know there’s famous and then there’s Youtube famous. And if you’re going for Youtube famous, maybe the guys from Jackass aren’t the best guys to imitate.

Turns out the guy who was arrested on Tuesday morning for jumping over a barrier at the White House was in search of his 15 minutes of fame, or at least a few thousand YouTube views. It follows, naturally, that he was wearing a Pikachu suit.

Curtis Combs, of Kentucky, told officers on the scene that his pre-jump antics were recorded but his big gesture was interrupted by Secret Service officers, so he didn't even get the incident on tape.

Dressed as the Pokemon character, Combs forged ahead anyway, ignoring verbal commands to stop and making it to a restricted area before being apprehended, according to court documents. Combs told investigators that he though they weren't paying attention, and pulled the stunt because "he wanted to become famous and thought jumping the White House fence and posting it to YouTube would make him famous."

Next up – yet more madness from Florida! You know… I have ordered a ton of stuff from Amazon over the years, and I’m sure everyone in this audience has. But I never scored like this!

Some folks getting this surprise delivery would consider it a pot o' gold from the weed gods.

But not this couple.

When an Orlando couple's Amazon order arrived, they thought the four storage bins that had been delivered seemed a bit heavy -- and they were, as the bins were stuffed with 65-pounds of pot, according to Orlando cops, reports WFTV-Ch. 9 in Orlando.

The weed allegedly had been shipped by a Amazon’s Warehouse Deals via UPS from Massachusetts.

Amazon gave them a $150 gift card, according to the report.

Finally this week – we’ve got dumb presidential offspring! You know Donald Trump’s sons Uday and Qusay aren’t known for their intelligence or class. But even this picture has everyone going “WTF”. Can we show that?

President Trump’s eldest son has an uncanny knack for self-owning himself on social media, whether he’s posting hideous memes equating refugees to poison candy, or sharing photos of himself dressed like the world’s least-fucked man. Oh, and let’s not forget the time he implicated himself in Russia’s alleged attempts to influence the US election.

“I can leap the tallest buildings, in a single bound, OK? Nobody can stop trains faster than I can! I can stop the fastest trains! Totally, unbelievable. And nobody is faster than I am! I am the fastest human being on the planet, OK?” That’s it this week for:

World Tour Destination #19: China

Part of our mission statement here at the Top 10 Conservative Idiots is to show you that conservative idiocy isn’t just a problem with America. No, it’s a global problem that is stemming far and wide, and it’s not just America where conservative idiots ruin everything they touch. And if you’re thinking of moving out of the United States just because Donald J. Trump is our current president and our nation is turning to shit, you should know what it is you’re getting into should you decide that you want to leave the country. So if you want a recap of where we’ve been so far, in the last few weeks we’ve discovered that my home state of California has a Russia problem, Japan has a nuclear problem, and South Korea just might go nuclear. Literally. Here’s the tour schedule:

China

Welcome to China everybody! China is a land of many wonders. It’s the home to one of the original man made wonders of the world – the Great Wall Of China! As seen in the recent Matt Damon movie “The Great Wall”:

Because nothing says a movie about ancient China like Matt Damon! China is also the home of Tiananmen Square – where a Chinese student famously stood up against General Mao’s tanks leading to that iconic image that is known around the world. China is also the home to Hong Kong – which famously was a British territory until 1997 when it was annexed by China and became part of the mainland. China is also home to Asia’s gambling mecca of Macau – famously seen in the 2012 James Bond flick Skyfall. That movie also managed to make the Chinese city of Shanghai look absolutely amazing. Think of it like Las Vegas – where half the city is dominated by giant, towering casinos and the rest is dominated by ancient culture – something Las Vegas really doesn’t have much of. There’s also one of the most populated cities in the world – Shanghai that was recently the host of the 2008 summer games. But what else is China the home of? Well it’s the home of crazy dictator Xi Jinping for one thing – a guy so insane he’s about to get his own 14 point political theory!

It will be known as "Xi Jinping Thought" and has 14 principles, the agency says.

The theory is likely to be incorporated into the constitution of the ruling Communist Party, which would strengthen Xi Jinping's position at the top.

He would be the first leader to lend his name to a political theory since Deng Xiaoping, who retired in 1989.

The only other leader to do so was Mao Zedong.

Xinhua says the Communist Party of China has created "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era".
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-41677062

Yeah because we all know what a sane, rational leader Mao Zedong was! Such a beacon, a shining example of humanity! Yeah, and I’m Elvis Presley! Well at least the deep fried peanut butter, banana and bacon Elvis Presley. Even the least diplomatic diplomat the US ever cooked up – Rex Tillerson, has had enough of his madness:

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson signaled the Trump administration’s growing impatience with China on issues from North Korea to trade, saying now’s the time to go public with concerns that the U.S. has raised privately with the country’s leaders for months.

In an interview at the State Department in Washington, Tillerson said Thursday that the U.S. isn’t necessarily frustrated with China but made clear the administration wants more progress.

“I think it is important that China knows -- OK, we’ve been having these conversations now for about six months,” Tillerson said. “We’re expecting to see some change, we’re expecting to see some movement, whether it’s North Korea, or whether it’s South China Sea, or whether it’s trade.”

Tillerson’s remarks follow a speech he gave Wednesday in which he accused China of undermining the “international, rules-based order” and called it out for “provocative actions in the South China Sea.” He visited China earlier this month and is likely to accompany President Donald Trump on an early November trip through Asia, including a stop in Beijing.

And you know what else China’s the home of? It’s the home of Foxconn – an electronics conglomerate that pretty much manufacturers anything you use that has an on / off switch. In fact I’d be willing to bet good money that the device you’re viewing this on right now was made by Foxconn! And we all know how Foxconn treats its’ low level employees. But what about its’ middle managers?

Hundreds of workers streamed through dark streets, blocking an entrance to an Apple iPhone supplier's factory in eastern China to protest unpaid bonuses and factory reassignments, two witnesses and China Labor Watch, a New York based non-profit group, said Thursday.

The protest Wednesday night at Jabil Inc.'s Green Point factory in Wuxi city prompted Apple to launch an investigation and vow to redress the payment discrepancies. "We are requiring Jabil to send a comprehensive employee survey to ascertain where gaps exist in payment and they must create an action plan that ensures all employees are paid for the promised bonus immediately," Apple said Thursday in an email to China Labor Watch.

The incident highlights the complexity of overseeing global supply chains that can involve hundreds of manufacturers and subcontractors, as well as third-party labor brokers — and their subcontractors — that are tasked with recruiting workers for those factories. Companies differ in the amount of responsibility they are willing to take on. Apple stepped up oversight and disclosure following a spate of negative reports about worker suicides and injuries at suppliers.

Yes holy shit indeed! You know what else China’s the home of? It’s the home of the International Space Station’s far more jankey brother – the Chinese Space Lab! You might have seen this space station in the recent Sandra Bullock space disaster flick “Gravity”. And when it comes crashing to earth in the forthcoming months – it could potentially kill a lot of us and damage a lot of property!

A defunct, yacht-sized Chinese space lab is expected to fall out of orbit and crash to Earth in the coming months.

China launched the eight-tonne Tiangong-1 satellite in 2011. Tiangong means "Heavenly Palace" in Chinese. The satellite, which is 12 metres long and 3.3 metres in diameter, was designed to test technology for a future space station. The Chinese space program used it for a series of spacecraft docking tests and visits from astronauts.

The space lab broke down and stopped functioning in March 2016. That means China's space agency no longer has control of it.

Chinese officials told the UN secretary general in May 2017 that Tiangong-1 was expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere between October 2017 and April 2018.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/tiangong-1-reentry-1.4179421

I mean seriously – how do you explain that to Geico, Nationwide, or whatever you use for homeowner’s insurance? “Yeah there’s a piece of a fucking space station in my roof!”. China is also the home of one of the world’s most controversial human rights policies – the “one child” policy:

A new study of China’s one-child policy is roiling demography, sparking calls for the field’s leading journal to withdraw the paper. The controversy has ignited a debate over scholarly values in a discipline that some say often prioritizes reducing population growth above all else.

Chinese officials have long claimed that the one-child policy—in place from 1980 to 2016—averted some 400 million births, which they say aided global environmental efforts. Scholars, in turn, have contested that number as flawed. But in a paper published in the journal Demography in August, Daniel Goodkind—an analyst at the U.S. Census Bureau in Suitland, Maryland, who published as an independent researcher—argues that the figure may, in fact, have merit.

By extrapolating from countries that experienced more moderate fertility decline, Goodkind contends that birth-planning policies implemented after 1970 avoided adding between 360 million and 520 million people to China’s population. Because the momentum from that decline will continue into later generations, he suggests, the total avoided population could approach 1 billion by 2060. Some scholars worry such estimates could be used to justify, ex post facto, the policy’s existence, and feel that Goodkind’s criticisms of previous work fall outside the bounds of scholarly decorum.

Yeah I’m not touching that one with a 10 foot pole. Is there anything good we can say about China or are they going to be like South Korea last week where the news got so dark we actually had to switch subjects? Well some good news is that they made your average die-hard Apple fanatic slightly less annoying by killing one of the Apple Watch’s key features:

The single wireless carrier supporting Apple's latest Apple Watch in China has ceased offering service for the device, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

China Unicom, one of three state-owned wireless carriers, initially offered cellular service for the Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE, but stopped supporting it on September 28, according to the report.

In the United States, the LTE Apple Watch is supported by all four major carriers for an additional charge of $10 per month. LTE service is the primary new feature on this year's Apple Watch model.
