The Republican Party of 2018 should induce panic now

It's been happening for some time in the Republican Party. But it has reached critical mass. Many Conservative but decent Republicans realize that the conversion of the base of the party is just about complete. It is time to panic. Here is why.

The voting base of the party only cares about hurting Democrats, liberals or anybody who is not a white evangelical.

The rich and powerful who control and actually run the party only care about their greed. If the government will give them more money, they don’t give a damn about anything else.

Neither group has any interest in changing or doing anything that benefits other people or the country as a whole. We’re doomed whenever the Republicans control all of the federal government like they do now.

Which is why Bannon and Gorka are pulling no punches to get their twisted base to GOTV in the 2018 election for their insane candidates. We are fucked.

An awful lot of Trump-publicans are people dependent on Medicare, Social Security, and other programs. Most will still remain stupid, but financial ruin and illness will wise some of them up, and some of the liberal-haters will be carried off by a more active Grim Reaper That no longer has such a strong social safety net to curb his sickle.

I think Thump’s first big attempt to end the ACA was a “Holy C$@p! I voted for this???” moment for a slice of his voting block. A core will remain, but as Mac and Bubba learn that that billionaire whom they think talks like they do doesn’t give a rat’s rump about them, more will fall away.

What worries me is that the getting-of-wisdom process for reachable Trump voters won’t be far along enough for 2018.

Some will stay with Donnie all the way to their bitter end.

They are the greatest threat this country will ever face.

But these days, most of them are dead and gone, and of the rest, they're very, very old and very, very regretful.
