Is Joe Scarborough setting himself up for a run for President?

Why do I get the feeling that his daily attacks on "this" Republican Party and its current President are a precursor to greater things? He keeps bemoaning what has happened to his party so much that I get the suspicion that he wants to ride in to save the Republican Party itself from the crazies. And he uses his program to do so (or at least in his mind he does).

Maybe I'm crazy but...

4. I thought of that but I think he thinks it is old news and he was "exonerated."

MSNBC exonerates him by having his program. Mika is going to marry him (at some point...who knows when?). Maybe she has ambitions to be First Lady...

He's been very bitter about his political career cut short after the unfortunate affair with his intern. He was being groomed for a position in the W White House when Jeb insisted it was best that he resign. Since then every day he just reminisces about his glory days in Congress. Remember when his set consisted of a huge backdrop of gently waving American flags? Every show was designed to look like a campaign commercial.

My guess is he's finally ready to go for it. Not sure about President, but he wants back in real bad.

but that's only in his mind.

The far right can't stand him and what's left of the center right don't trust him.

spokesperson or member of Congress just about every day. Mika banned Kellyanne from the show, which was one good thing but the rest of MSNBC still has her on...

9. After Trump, a number of otherwise scummy candidates might look a little better, at least to Dems.

He and Mika kissed Trump's butt and gave him a ton of free airtime during the run up to the election. They were all in for him until he turned on them. I'm speculating here, but I tend to think that if Trump never turned on them, they'd still have their lips puckered and pressed against his fat butt.
