LUPICA: John Kelly must apologize for his attack on Rep. Wilson like an honorable Marine

By Mike Lupica

The President sometimes refers to the generals who are part of his administration as “my generals.” That is exactly what his chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly, sounded like and acted like this past week. A general in the army of Donald J. Trump.

This isn’t about the honor with which Kelly served the United States Marines, the eloquence with which he spoke Thursday about loss and honor and country. This isn’t about his son, who died in Afghanistan in the brave service of his country. By any measure, Kelly’s own military service fits any definition of an American hero.

His description of the noble traditions that begin with the death of any American soldier was both vivid and moving the other day, and a hymn to the Americans who make the decision to put themselves in harm’s way because of their love for the country.

And if Kelly had stopped there, if he had not then segued into an attack on a Florida congresswoman named Frederica Wilson, this would have been a fine American moment.

but he works for The Big Orange Loser, so why would anyone believe he still has even a shred of honor? Or ethics...or anything approaching a smidgen of humanity.

He might once have been a decent man, but that guy is gone now and he's simply another partisan hack dancing for his "King".
