Chick-Fil-A

I promise for the rest of my life to never ever buy food from them and try to keep those I know from ever buying from them.

We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.

"We operate as a family business ... our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that," Cathy emphasized.

Dear Sir, why not try to reduce the number of divorces in your business area, reduce poverty, help the children to live healthy lives, and stop telling the rest of us how to live our lives.

You sir are a dinosaur, which I am positive you would be frying if they existed.

Sweet. Someone needs to ask Mr. Cathy how many concubines and other wives he has.

If you're like me and do think their chicken sandwich is pretty damn good despite being made from hate, try these at home. Darn close, and even better when you can eat it and know not a penny of your money is supporting them.

I actually eat at both! I typically don't let political/religious beliefs interfere with my everyday life choices. If I let such thinking rule my behavior and boycotted anything with objectional affiliations or practices I wouldn't be able to spend a dime almost anywhere.

But, yeah... Chick-Fil-A is definately mega fundy. I thought that was very well-known.

Businesses to boycott is to big to keep track of. I really don't care about the beliefs of the owner's just the quality of the product and if it was a product of the US or not.

Just like the Hollywood elites.... if they are a good artists who should care about wht they think???

A tax dodging elitist? A corporation destroying elitist? A family destroying elitist? You seem to think that actors are elitists, I seem to think Republicans as a whole are self-serving elitists, just like the owner of Chick-Filled-ofShit.

2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (about 6 ounces each)
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
Peanut oil, for frying
1 large egg
1/2 cup nonfat milk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup whole-wheat flour
1 tablespoon malted milk powder
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon confectioners' sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 sour pickle, cut into 8 slices, plus 1 tablespoon pickle juice from the jar
2 teaspoons white vinegar
4 soft hamburger buns, split
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened

Directions

Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally to make 4 thin cutlets. Place the cutlets between 2 pieces of heavy-duty plastic wrap and pound to 1/8-inch thick with a mallet or heavy skillet. Season the chicken with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon each pepper and paprika.

Heat about 2 inches peanut oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat until a deep-fry thermometer registers 325 degrees F. Meanwhile, whisk the egg, milk and 2 tablespoons water in a baking dish. Whisk both flours, the malted milk powder, confectioners sugar, baking soda, dry mustard, the remaining 1/2 teaspoon paprika and 1 teaspoon each salt and pepper in another dish. Toss the pickle slices, pickle juice and vinegar in a bowl and set aside.

Working in batches, dip the chicken in the egg mixture, turning to coat, then dredge in the flour mixture and shake off any excess. Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown, about 4 minutes, adjusting the heat as needed. Drain on paper towels.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spread the cut sides of the buns with some of the butter and lightly toast in the skillet, buttered-side down; spread with more butter. Put 2 pickle slices on each bun bottom; top with a piece of chicken and cover with the bun tops.

this business. One time I had to go to the bathroom so bad, and they were the only thing around, my husband tried everything to get me to go in an use the bathroom. I told him I'd rather piss myself than step foot inside their doors.

None of my family patronizes that place. My niece bought something to eat once when she was pregnant because she was feeling faint.

Dain, you may remember I do have a record on D.U. as part of the LGBT community.

I think Don Cathy isn't P.R. savvy. He should publicly keep his opinions to himself on controversial issues.

I grew up in GA. My family was acquainted with Truitt Cathy back when he stared the 'Dwarf House'. He is an admirable human being.

Chick Fil-A's 'Winshape Foundation has helped hundreds of at risk young people by assisting foster families, giving kids camp experiences, mentoring a scholarships.

http://winshape.com/

The Chik-Fil-A company treats their employees better than any fast food competitor. Fair wages, reasonable hours, Sundays off , for a start.

I believe the owners of Chik Fil A are free to believe whatever they want because Constitutional freedom of religion and freedom of expression. They are free to contribute to Focus on the family or whichever groups they choose. I know when my lil family had evacuated to ATL from NOLA, the gay African American manager of the Chik Fil A nearest where we were staying gave us a handful of cards for meals. That manager is still with Chick Fil A. He seems a pretty happy man.

However, people are certainly entitled to boycott anyplace they want. I think the media is trying to stir up trouble, as usual.

I find this very hard to believe. Their stores are among the cleanest I've been in.

Can you provide a copy of the reported complaint to the health dept.? I'd like to review the nature of your experience.

Come to think of it, I think your claim is very suspect. Hope I'm wrong.

The clade that includes theropods also includes all birds.

But I don't think these idiots would recognize the science, let alone recognize science from pseudoscience. E. G., creationism.

Loonies, all of them. And they are collectively fucking up our country.

A pox on their houses. (To use a Biblical allusion.)
