I heard on the radio this morning that Elizabeth Warren is on the short list. I like that. I think it will give her a little bump in the race.
My pick -
Elizabeth Warren in Charlotte
Who do you have?
Edited to remove the RNC portion of predictions. I had no idea Christie was picked.

(13,992 posts)Politically, it gives her the national spotlight in her race against Magic Scott. I really can't think of anyone in a similar position would benefit more.

(22,845 posts)He's been increasingly visible in recent months. I think he's being groomed as a potential candidate for 2016,
I hope they let him perform with his Celtic band too.

(9,070 posts)...but it would be particularly nice to get someone who would say something about getting the military under control. We know that the "economy" will be an obvious topic.
Many independents in my circle are not happy with Obama's record on the environment, getting control of the bankers, and still having too much spending on the military. Warren clearly speaks to the bankers and Grayson is good on health care. Al Franken would be interesting too.
To me, this will be a close election until the Democrats address the elephants in the room. The military is twice the size it should be. If we spent that money on education and infrastructure our world would change for a generation. I'm not the only one pissed off about oil spills, climate change, etc. Even my middle-leaning buddies are disappointed on these issues.
I haven't heard any single Democrat stand up for seriously reducing the military (which actually would free up lots of energy consumption too). I can't think of any environmental hero either.
