(102,379 posts)so, George W Bush, despite his own horrible Presidency, is going to earn a few bumps on the Presidential rankings--just for being an actual sentient human being and recognizing the pillars of Democracy--and being decent enough to speak out, at least to some degree.
A year ago, I don't think I'd have been ok with that improvement in status, but now? I have to give some grudging respect.

(5,815 posts)a better human being. Might have learned a few things unlike tRump who has never learned from his mistakes or life experiences. tRump has only gotten meaner, uglier in every way. I think Dubya probably has had some time to reflect and grow since he retired to Dallas, proving that you can teach an old dog new tricks. If tRump lived to be a thousand years old, hed never improve or grow. He cant.

(91 posts)and the current Idiot in Charge. Both were incompetent and not very bright. Both were (are?) wound up and run by fascists: Dick the Prick Cheney and Steve Poisonous Thing Under Rocks Bannon. Like most diseases, untreated they get worse. Leave it long enough and germs will kill you.
