Typically former Governors get hired as lobbyists for k-street or big law firms in Richmond Northern Va Charlottesville or Roanoke (four different kingdoms). "Rain makers" as Larry Sabato calls them. McDonnell was looking at at least 1/2 a Mil but he couldn't wait.

3. Easy solution, turn out the vote.

This is bound to be a low turnout election. Every voter in non-GE elections has the power of 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 voters, depending on the percentages.

If you're in Virginia, that means your democratic vote and every one you can get to the polls will count as multiples of your votes.

4. Is the Monmouth poll a good one?

It's five points different from the Wason Center poll, and a whopping seven points different from the Roanoke poll. I'm not familiar with the relative records of these polls in tracking the actual results. Certainly Virginia Democrats shouldn't be coasting, but there may be no need to push the panic button, either.

Before looking at that tweet, let’s be clear: the Virginia Republican Party and its nominee for Governor, Ed Gillespie, have created a deceptive (very Willie-Horton-like/race-baiting) attack, seeking to create a false impression that Ralph Northam — who has worked, hard, to make Virginians healthier and safer — is somehow complicit with gang violence. Donald Trump, perhaps the nation’s greatest consumer and purveyor of #FakeNews and #AlternativeFacts (aka, LIES), not surprisingly latched onto and shared (actually amplified) that Gillespie deceit.
