Mine worked.

Well you know, the man that was talking to the dog
looked at the dog, and he said
Sort of staring in disbelief
"You can't say that"
he said
"It doesn't, and you can't, I won't, and it don't
it hasn't, it isn't, it even ain't, and it shouldn't
it couldn't"

Type out in the message text. Copy. Go back to the subject and paste. Its in the text, AWOL in the subject

(28,203 posts)Perhaps it's related to the ASCII translation table that is being used here.
I noticed a change a couple of months ago, around the same time when HTML tags were added back.
Note: For me, this seems to only affect the Title and not the Message text.

So the title is a catchphrase, and one that I suspect may be heard ringing around many an office. As Griffin says, apostrophes can be confusing and exasperating: Just look at Kings Cross, which is written both with and without a fucking apostrophe; or Waterstones, which dropped its fucking apostrophe; or Hearsay [sic], who used a fucking apostrophe to make them look groovy.

18. Only straight apostrophes and quotation marks work in titles.
If your device can't produce them, you can use html entities to replace them in titles.
Replace apostrophes with & a p o s ; (remove spaces)
Replace quotes with & q u o t ; (remove spaces)

(118,665 posts)turn into accented "e"s. Don't know why. Then it changes back for no reason and the apostrophes work again. Question mark is affected too.

(31,893 posts)Go ahead and post, then take a look at it. If your subject line is missing apostrophes and/or quotation marks, click on edit, re-type it, then re-post. This time the missing punctuation marks should show up.
