McConnell reached behind him, obviously expecting Trump to take his arm (much like if he was reaching back for a small child), and Mitch isn't the most sturdy-looking guy out there himself.

Someone on Twitter said that Trump is afraid of stairs/steps, I don't know how true that is, but it all looked so strange!

Many clips of him going down the stairs of AF1 squeezing Melania's hand. And Theresa May mentioned it as well.
