If Trump dies in office

There's a very witty thread on DU this morning that encourages Trump to continue and/or increase his terrible "diet" in order to increase the likelihood of his death:

https://www.democraticunderground.com/10029711547#post28

Perhaps it's all a bit tasteless, (wink).

Yet it raised a thought: What if Trump dies in office? Will the Republicans and the Deplorables turn him into a great martyr? Will statues of Trump be erected in the place of removed Confederate statues? Will television news create hours-long tributes that will whitewash the profoundly corrupt life of this man? Obviously, Washington, D.C. will grind to an even further halt for a week-long mourning period with Trump's body lying in state under the Capitol's cupola followed by his burial in Arlington Cemetery, (think of that last one for a moment).

Damn, we live in bizarre times.

And then, like with Reagan, the television programs will make him out to be just a roguish individual.

At least Trump's death wouldn't end Robert Mueller's investigation since that is originally about Russian interference in the U.S. election. Lots of truths could come from that.

with lies abounding about his "legacy." But I think Pukes would be secretly overjoyed to give the presidential reins to Pence. It's an open question about whether the country would be better or worse off.

Pence would work more closely and effectively with the GOP Congress. Additionally, it would be probable that Republicans would airbrush their differences to try to unify and strengthen their party.

But who the hell knows?!

Since Pence was the head of the Trump Transition, it's hard to believe that he was innocent of the connections between Trump's campaign and Russian operatives. If the Mueller Investigation does turn up evidence of criminality, Pence might not be long for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

And I worry that the investigation into Russia's meddling in our election would lose momentum, which would just allow them to keep on doing it.

I can't stand Trump, but in order for justice to ever be served, I hope he decides to mix in a salad.

To this day we have 9/11-truthers who refuse to believe that metal gets weaker when it gets hot, even without melting.

Even if Trump were to commit suicide on camera and in front of witnesses, we would still get neverending rumors how this is somehow the fault of Hillary Clinton, the Democrats and the Deep State.

And second, all the right-wingers will demand that we stop talking about Trump, because he's dead and you're not allowed to say bad things about dead people. The same people who cannot stop talking about Hillary Clinton will demand that we stop talking about Trump. Any attempt to bring up his misdeeds will be decried as an attempt to smear a dead man.

I've always said that I feel sorry for those who loved the deceased.

That will change the day this creature leaves the earth. I will be jubilant that he is gone. I will cheer and I will be joyful about his demise.

Even Dick Cheney has shown a tiny bit of humanity at times. This creature has none. None at all.

Meanwhile he neglected Tiffany on her birthday (didn't send a tweet wishing her happy birthday).

As for burial--all presidents are eligible to be interred at Arlington National Cemetery but only two are--Kennedy and Taft.

Not only are they caught up in the Russian Hacking investigation, the various financial investigations could bring the Trump and Kushner family business dealings to the attention of the appropriate authorities, (if they haven't already).

Kushner has a huge financial albatross in a NYC office building and his billion dollar loans are coming due. Don, Jr. was the Trump who set up the June 2016 meeting with the Russians. Ivanka has her own problems with her import business. Eric is an idiot. On top of all of that, the finances of the Trump family business must be a labyrinth of diversion and it could be revealed that the actual assets are quite limited.

By the way, these brats deserve every problem they get, in my opinion.
